Good luck. I just finished up in Burleson and had a wonderful experience in school.

Once your training is all done, do you have a choice for a regional run or do they make you do OTR ? I was told
I could go regional, but we all know how that works.josepholson Thanks this. -
Last I heard, there are some Regional positions still available, but I'm not officially in the know. You might want to ask the recruiter. And I don't know how fast they might fill up.
On your first day, you will fill out paperwork, and on it, there is a place to circle your preference for Regional or OTR.
Even if you do Regional, be prepared to spend your 15K miles with an OTR trainer before they transition you to Regional. -
I'm going to the trenton class as well! 9/22/14. see you guys there.

Just realize that this is not "paid Training" this is the school portion. You dont start getting paid untill you are out with your trainer on the road. So you will probably go 3-4 weeks without a paycheck. Just want you to realize that before jumping into it. When i came to school, i thought this was part of the "paid Training" and i was sadly mistaken. Thank goodness i had a little money set aside and a dang credit card.
Any more questions shoot me a message and good luck in school. might just see ya if i get through the yardcincypapaw Thanks this. -
Thanks for taking the time to answer Tater! Does Millis pay weekly or bi-weekly? They say your check is direct deposited to your checking account or to your comdata card. Is one option better than the other or make does it make no difference?

Sorry it took me so long to get back,
Millis pays weekly. It is usually posted to your bank on tuesday.
I have mine split up. i get $100 on my comdata card every Friday and then the rest goes into the bank every week. I did that so that way i have money for on the road stuff (food, truck stuff) and i dont have to dip into my checking acct. The only difference is that the comdata stuff is loaded onto your card at 0900CST on Friday as to the rest of your check isnt there till on tuesday. So if you want to be paid every friday then you can have your whole check put on your comdata card. But with doing that then you have to take the money off and then deposit it in your acct yourself next time your home. idk about every place but MY bank does take com checks so it makes it easy for when i get bonus's and such i just call comdata, put the money on a check, and then just drop it off at my bank. Also every time you make a transaction with comdata it costs you i think $1 to put money on a check. What i have done also is leave a few com checks at home with the wife. That way if something comes up and she needs to get some money for something or needs to put money in the bank for some reason and i have money on my com card, she calls me with the check number and i put money on the check and she goes and cashes/deposits it.
Other things you can do with your comdata card that i found out so far after using it. It can be used at any ATM to withdraw cash, just charges you the fee. If you go to Walmart/Sams Club and say buy food, you can swipe your comdata card just like a debit card to pay for your stuff and you also can get "cash back" up to $100. Make sure to push debit and put in your PIN number. Ive gone in there and bought 3 bottles of iced tea, on different transactions, just to use the cash back thing and get money off of it.
Just remember that it is weekly that they will put money on it when you go to choose how much to have put on there. personally the split i did works for me. Everyone has different needs for different things. There are some weeks where i don't even touch the money on there cuz im still using the money from the week before and then it just stays there and they deposit more on the following Friday.
Hope this helps. Have a good daycincypapaw and Rotorzilla Thank this. -
Thanks Tater ! How about the insurance.Cannot say I've heard alot about it and what I have heard did not seem like it was that great. Any input? Do you have it and any ideas on premiums?
Also, what kind of discount does Millis have with Verizon...is it like 15% or 20 %?
