Yeah it has a nice sized classroom in the same building with a driver lounge. Yesterday Mike layed out the Eden 500 track. There is plenty of room to do training on our area of the yard.

Our instructor has us locked on and the class is ahead of schedule so they took us out the range early and we got a couple hours of time driving time today. Everyone in the class made good progress on learning double clutching shifting up and down. Even Mike was out there doing ride alongs and teaching us to drive. LOL I can feel my left leg is already getting a workout. Tomorrow we should be most of the day out on the range.

Thanks for the update. What happens after you finish school and pass your test? Do you have orientation and get a trainer in Eden? Or do you have to go somewhere else for that?

A lot of factors involved. What trainer is available, where is he/she, is there freight going there, etc, etc. You should do orientation there along with any experienced drivers they may or may not have. Generally, you are assigned a trainer and you get with them on when they can pick you up

Call me stupid, but when you say "you should do orientation there", by there do you mean Eden? How has everything been the past few days?

This past Friday we started doing strait line backing. Half the class picked it up after a few times and started doing parallel parking in the afternoon. LOL I don't even parallel park my car, but we where able to do it in the truck with a 53ft trailer and each of us got it the 1st try with no cones killed. Then a parking contest broke out and we all where able to get within about 3 inches off the curb with no problem.

On Monday we start blindside parallel and offset. Depending on how it goes we might get to do 90 alley. Looking forward to learning that, it was a huge weight off the shoulders in learning how to strait and parallel. Our instructor Evin had done a great job with us.

only bad thing is that one of the school trucks head gasket took a dump. :( no telling if they can get it repaired or a replacement truck while we still in class

Not stupid at all. ..you do orientation where you went through class, if that is Eden, then yes Eden. Sorry I wasn't more clear.

Today ( Monday ) we got right out on the range. Started the morning doing blindside parallel parking. It was challenging but we used the same concept as standard parallel parking and we soon we where doing it like second nature. In the afternoon we changed to offset backing and just as we where wrapping up for the day our instructor did a 90 deg back demo, but each of us ended up taking a turn at it. was able to get it in the alley but 2 of the 3 of us backed just a little too far and just bumped the back rope. Now that we have done all of the backing moves at least once everyone is feeling alot better. we still have 3 more days out on the range to work on the backing, Thursday is the backing exam to see who makes the cut and moves on to the next part of the class.

Found out today that the class is going to drive up and back to Black River Falls next week Looking forward to our first road trip.
