Monday - Friday The weekends are yours. If your staying in the hotel you can check out Friday morning and go back home for the weekend then check back into the hotel again later.

 

The 1st Eden Class graduated today! I had a great time, met some great people and learned a lot. So far all the students have trainers locked on. My trainer called and we will be heading out on Wed afternoon finishing up orientation.

road trip not bad for 1st run out

 

All of the students are out on the road with their trainers and doing well.

I hit 11 States in 5 days with the trainer. It took about a week to get my trainer to Eden to pick me up.
improving on down shifting, space management in rush hour on Chicago 294 loop and backing into docks.
I drove just over 1800 of the 3100 miles the first week
my 2nd week my trainer had home time setup for the weekend, but dispatch could not find us a load back in time for his home time.
So we ended up sitting in the Eden yard most of the day and ended up just starting home time early. So if the student does not drive at least 4 hours you dont get paid. Now I am looking at Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat with out getting paid on the next payday.

We are headed back out on the road Sunday at 07:00 and hopefully we run hard to bust out he rest of the 13000 miles I need. so that I can get into my own truck before thanksgiving.

I have a great trainer and have learned a lot from him. looking forward to getting back out on the road with him. Its not been his fault for us not catching loads.
