Too funny....some where you have the misconception that you are controlling this process. IF a trainer you want is available, and the trainer wants you, then it could happen. but it really is up to the company mostly, then the trainer in what happens. You, my friend, are a student, a trainee, with a moderate possibility of not making it through the process. The company will accommodate as much as it fits their needs, not yours. It could all work out your way ...or not. but rest assured, your trying out of a trainer is a pretty good way to finding your way out during this process. The best thing for you to do is be open minded and flexible and take what comes until you are through class and training. Then you can be the captain of your ship.

Calm down there buddy. 3 guys in my class already have guys lined up and I do now as well. Just because you weren't proactive theres no need to get your panties in a bunch.

He still has a job to do; I.e., freight to deliver, care for his truck, paperwork to do, etc. You must show initiative and not rely on him to force feed you information.
He is allowing you to share his home, yes, on the road, the truck is home. Respect his space until you get your own.
Millis WILL look out for their own best interests. No one can blame them for that. They offer quality training at a fair value and will expect you to perform.
There are a lot of veteran Millis drivers on this forum, and while they may come across as abrasive, will give you good information.
My two cents. ....for what it's worth. .. -

Advice is maybe the wrong word. Really just a"heads up".
A good number of students go into this like it's going to be a piece of cake, it's really difficult and more than a few students end up bailing.
But, if you roll with the changes, focus on learning to safely operate the vehicle, and listen to your trainer, I'm sure you'll be fine. -
Yeah, I appreciate it but again I wasn't asking for or looking for advice and unfortunately I'm probably old enough to be your father. Not that I don't seek advice because I do, just not in this thread or at this time. Take some advice yourself and save yourself a ton of headaches and time by never offering advice when it isn't being requested.

Lol. Doubt your old enough to be my father. Personally, I accept and use information wherever I can get it.....but whatever. I still wish you the best and hope you do well in school and with your trainer and if I can answer any questions, i'd be glad to help.
