Good job. I need a physical too but I'm going to wait a couple weeks until next payday I think.

Interesting, because here in Colorado you have to walk into the dmv with your health card (paperwork) before even taking the test for your permit. Cheapest physical I have found, so far, in my area is $60.00 through one of those centura health neighborhood centers.

    • If you certify to one of the excepted categories (i.e., excepted interstate or excepted intrastate), you will not have to submit any medical documentation.
    • If you certify to one of the non-excepted categories (i.e., non-excepted interstate or non-excepted intrastate), you must submit either a copy of your medical examiner's certificate (also known as a DOT Medical Card) OR your state approved medical variance/waiver letter. If the medical examiner's certificate indicates that you have been granted a federal waiver exemption and/or SPE, you must also submit a copy of the document(s).

Failure to meet these conditions will cause your application to be denied.

I checked the excepted interstate box. What's that mean? I guess I have to go back to the DMV and get it fixed and bring a DOT card?

Makes me wonder why the dmv person didn't double check that, for you. They usually are on auto-pilot while working behind the counter.

Well I didn't even fill it out on the form, I waited until my number was called and I told the lady I don't know which one to choose. She told me what intra and inter is and I said inter, and I asked her which one, she's like "I don't know, it's up to you" basically, said nothing about farm use.. lol

I guess it's my fault for not knowing a DOT physical card is the same as a medical card. I thought it had something to do with somebody who has medical problems.. haha

Right then, and there, when she presented to you her uncertainty, is when you needed to ask her to speak with her supervisor. If she doesn't know, then she needs to be retrained-it's her job to know the licensing process she enforces, and tests for there. Basically, she helped screw you in going forth with your license to work in state(inter), or out of state (intra), I believe. Also, here in Colorados manual if you use equipment for "husbandry," or farming, you're basically exempt from needing a license to use it. You just go out, and use it.
