MJE since you are not a truck driver, please get your cdl and some driving experience then come back and give your opinions. I was only asking for the opinions of current truck drivers only.

    mje and littleduck Thank this.

You HAVE to factor in what work has been put in...how many hours put in...how much bullsnot has been put up with...and all the other crap drivers endure before you (a non-driver) can compare your check to ours.

$800 to $1,000 for seven days away from home....buying meals on the road, etc.... ain't squat!

millis drivers posting negative/positive posts on here should also mention who their dispatcher is. I, for example was ready to quit few days ago if they wouldn't let me switch dispatchers...well, they did let me switch, and it was exrtremely simple and quick. Things are looking Much brighter now...so far. Good dispatcher makes a whole lot of difference!!!! There are dispatchers at Millis that will make you feel like you are working for one of the worst companies out there. And then there Is Pat.

Right now I work retail. I make $350 a week gross. My take home is $275 after taxes.

I'm excited to start Millis. $350 a week converts to about 1030 miles.

So to me, as someone with no experience driving a big truck, I think I'd rather have the $800 - $1200 a week.

As far as people with more experience, I'd understand completely if you wanted to find something that pays more.

I bring home about 320 to 440 a week after taxes depending on overtime and i will be happy to make 800-1200 a week starting out but will try to move on to better things after i get experience
