I'm very interested in joining Millis, I just wanted to ask a couple questions to drivers/ employees that already work for millis or have in the past:
    1. How is the home time like, I live in NC near Burlington. Do they offer regional?
    2. What are the average miles a week & starting cpm
    3. I already have my CDL. So do I still have to attend there schooling

I am currently at the Millis school in Eden i also live close to Burlington and the instructor told us that we will start out otr and then can switch to reginal later but it may be different with you since you already have a cdl but if you have no experience i dont know how it works you could call driver recruiting and find out

Ok appreciate it, do Millis let you take the truck home on home time?

School is good so far i have no complaints the instructor is good and makes it fun and he keeps saying 2 weeks but i think thats just what he did when he drove i think you can stay out 7 days to get 36 hours at home but im not really sure so don't hold it to me

Thank for the info, very helpful. Yea I don't mind staying out long as the miles are there to run. Just looking a good company to start with

The dispatcher I have is good about getting me home, but I stay out five or six weeks at a time. They do have regional positions, but I think that depends on the state and availability.

The CPM list is on the website for Millis, and it depends on whether you go with practical versus HHG miles, and whether or not you opt for per-diem pay.

As for your question of miles... I did an spreadsheet of averages of miles from the "miles per week" thread here on the forums, and it was about 2800 average, with good weeks and bad weeks. That's about what I've been doing since I got my own truck.

If I remember correctly, as long as you have a recent CDL (last couple of years or so) you don't have to go through the school.
