I really expected that to happen. It's happened to other people in the past. Other than that it's been pretty quiet. Trying to get some things taken care of at home. Selling my beater/commuter car. It has a blown head gasket but 4 new tires, radiator, heater core, thermostat, and a bunch of new spare parts. I'll be driving my old pickup to class.
Have a flatbed trailer that I bought for hauling brush. Don't really need it anymore. But could use a little extra cash.

I admit I also tried the "magic snake oil and pixie dust" in a bottle. It was worth the gamble over the parts cost and my time /labor replacing the head gasket, water pump, timing belt, and the myriad of gaskets that go along with an OHC engine. The other option was to drop in a junkyard motor. That was probably the route I was going to go. For $30 the glitter in bottle did seem to reduce the frequency of the tiny bubbles migrating to my thermostat housing.

my 97 f150 had a tiny head gasket leak fixed it with a bottle of bars head gasket leak. been good for 6 months and 10,000 miles so far. i was not about to spend money to fix an engine with 170k miles. obviously if you really care about the vehicle and engine do not use this method. i only used it cause it was my last resort to fix it.

The vehicle in question for me is a 95 Plymouth Neon with about that many miles on it. My other vehicle is an 87 F150 (insert chuckle here) with the straight six. I think that motor has at least 170k miles on it. Probably 270k. All it gets is an engine flush every year and Rotella 10W-40
