It's only two years if you pay the minimum 20 bucks a week. I never pay the minimum on anything whether it's a credit card bill, boat payment, or mortgage. In other words I plan on paying off the 2 grand on or before the FIRST year. The part about not being PTDI certified doesn't phase me too much. Not when I hear of all these guys that went to PTDI certified schools and can't get hired by anybody with less then a years experience.
Then, the companies that WILL hire them like Millis, need them to go through their course anyway. The way I see it is i'm just cutting out the middle man and going to school and getting a job plus experience all from the same place. If they do "dump me in the middle of the process" and it's for something I did (my fault) then I have no one to blame but myself. If they should happen to "dump" me for some other reason then I hear their quite reasonable on not only not making you pay off your bill, but in some cases even reimbursed people for what they already paid...
Thanks for the point of view I appreciate it. Not the least bit discouraged from it either. lol

that sounds reasonable enough! anyway there are not many good companies left out there to chose from.
do you have any idea about the waiting time between applying on-line and getting an approval ?
also, i dont know if its true or not ..i heard that they have a little surplus of new graduate drivers (even if they are still taking student ) and that people have to wait for some time, before they can get a truck. did you hear anything about it ?!
well, once again good luck to you and keep us informed

I have not heard about anybody waiting on trucks when they get done training but i haven't been around the yards to much lately. I know last thursday when i dropped a trailer in cartersville they had a few trucks sitting there that looked like they were mty.
