they are better than the big name garbage companies that post ads in the throw away magazines, if that means anything. you will get home more, and have better insurance because they are union, and probably have some sort of scheduled raises, and a real retirement plan of some sort as well.

i have heard that they pay percentage, and i have seen a lot of turnpike doubles in indiana and ohio, so i would imagine you can make some decent money there. I wouldn't be suprised if you had to be "creative" on your logbook though. I know i have to be where i work, also flatbedding, just more sheetrock than steel.

Prehires mean nothing . That has been proved time after time here . Having a phone instead of Qualcomm isn't really an advantage . The GPS on the the phone leaves records . You'd be better off with 1 long haul than 4 short hauls . The more loads you get the more you wait .
All kinds of red flags from SafeStat . They are an inspection target with high driver and vehicle SEA's . They also have dropped the number of drivers from 860 to 630 in a year and have 70 more power units that drivers . SafeStat can be real eye opening .

The high numbers are not good that's for sure but when they drop the number of drivers and increase the number of units that tells me they have started team driving which is a negative in my book too.

Man did I get that one wrong. I fell like my font should be around 1 right now. Oh well. Either way it doesn't look good.

If you click to enter the site it should show PI&I info . The SEA scores are on the left . On the right there is a link to click the ISS-D recommendation . It will say inspect . DOT runs the carrier DOT number i the computer to get this rating or if they have PrePass it will show on the screen . If you click the history tab on the upper left there is lot more info from the past 2 years .

They probably are if you're just checking companies that hire inexperienced drivers . How many have INSPECT for an ISS-D recommendation ?
Their driver OOS percentage is 27.9% , above the national average of 22.27% . With that many caught and put out of service indicates a lot more running illegally . This is the type company that could lose its authority under CSA 2010 . They are probably hiring drivers because they know they will have quite a few drivers disqualified .
That's what will happen to a lot of drivers that thought they were smart cheating on logs . These are the first companies to be checked and their drivers won't be able to work for anybody .
