This seem not to be the most informed response on here, but I will respond anyway to educate you. For one, it does not matter if he is a recruiter from a large company like Swift or not. He (recruiter) is unprofessional!!! Period... You don't have to be from a large carrier. Even more so he works for a smaller company and really does not have an excuse to be short, rude, and not return phone calls. I would recommend you stop making excuses for him. These are other applicants interactions with him and his lack of professionalism. That is what the forum is for, to discuss issues about trucking companies right? If this was a Swift thread we would be talking about a Swift recruiter, but I think now you can even grasp that simple concept now. Maybe not but those of us that expressed our frustration with a man who wasted our time definitely seem to understand his character or lack there of. As for butt kissing!! Do know the difference between doing a good job and being enthusiastic then being a kiss butt right? I don't think you understand. So I will explain it to you.

A kiss butt does an average job but because he or she has no self respect they suck up to the boss, is phoney and stabs other employees in the back to make himself look good. They really do not do a better job then anyone else, but because their nose is so far up the bosses back side when promotion time comes, the boss promotes kiss butt not on work performance or merit, but because he is a "yes man, what ever you say boss." Your easy to manage, your the bosses pet. I believe you should be promoted on merit, not being a little back stabbing puppet. And yes, u don't have to kiss butt to get promoted it happens every day. I feel sorry for you if you kissed all those butts when you did not have to. Seriously, kissing a butt to make more money sounds more like prostitution instead of just being a good employee and getting promoted on merit. I think they have knee pads for that kinda stuff, but you might know more about that then me. I dunno!! Lol.

As for the recruiter reading this thread, I could care less. What is he gonna do, not call me back for an interview??? Oh tragic... Lol. I hope he reads this, before he scares away more qualified good drivers because of his ambivilant attitude. I hope he reads the negative comments being made about him and his company he represents. Perhaps the next applicant will be treated with more respect. I would not work for someone like that anyway, I would just end up punching him in the face. I don't like butt kissers, must be what the Marine Corps instilled in me.

Now if you have something positive to say about Northern Refriderate, I would welcome any comments. This thread was not designed to suck up to the recruiter by not validating othere applicants experiences. That way it is not just a bunch of negative comments about a rude recruiter and someone who thinks its okay to be a kiss butt to get ahead. Have a nice day.. If you see Bill, tell him to read the book, "How to Make Friends and Influence People." There is a whole chapter on how to get ahead without lowering yourself to a backstabbing kiss butt. Lol

Well I don't know about them *personally.* Their Portland, Oregon terminal looks really good. As for Bill Wall, I haven't spoken with him personally. I've heard things, but I don't know him personally so don't get the wrong idea.

I'm not sucking up to a recruiter, I've just heard good things about that company. In fact, I've heard nothing bad. It's drivers who said good things about the company, not applicants. i'm guessing they're hard to get on with.

First off Moloko, you don't know the situation, I didn't write every detail. There's more to it which I will not go into. Second, I don't live close to California at all, I don't have money to waste. Not going to show up there to have him not be there. What a dumb idea that was. I found another job anyways, better than Northern Refrigerated and it's local. Home every night. Orientation starts Wednesday. It is what is. I said no lies on my post. You can go ahead and tell Bill Wall about this post. Which I'm sure you will.

If you want to move up in any profession, you have to show, enthusiasm, dedication to the job, get along with others and, in most cases be able to do your job well. Some folks may call that kissing rump. The thing to remember is this, those folks don't pay your bills. What matters is the people that care about you in your life. Sometimes, you have to put up with crap to get to where you want to go or be. If its a good job, maybe it is worth playing the hiring managers game. Because, he might just be checking to see how bad you really want the job. It's kind of a screening process.

Hello I worked for NRT for 2 weeks then I was fired because an ex employer said I bumped something.
Bet doesn't ask for your side they just fire anyone for any reason.
They will but you in a crappy nasty motel where you chace and kill flies all night long.
They will feed you but if the plates were any smaller you would need a microscopic to see it.

And with my deal I was told by Bill and my trainer " your a good driver"
I drove all around down town Seattle with 316 their long nose peterbuilt sleeper and a 53' all over seattle down town for 2 weeks even brought that train up on peer 69 not a scratch then because a previous employer that didn't want me to quit told them I bumped something and Jeff ( who's too chicken sh&#) to call me back dudnt even ask by side.
And while I worked for 2 weeks 2 other drivers were fired also one warehouse / driver and another driver
I thing there turn around is low because they fire you before you can quit.
    I hope this helps

    DONT WORK FOR. N.R.T
