Does anyone out there have any info about JTL Carriers in Franklin, WI ?
They are actively recruiting me but I've been driving 20 years and I have never heard of them.
Are they affiliated with JDC Transportation ? any info would be appreciated.
The offer being made sounds good, but we all know how driver recruiters are you can generally tell they are lieing when their lips are moving.

I've read a lot of posts from drivers who have been terminated by their carriers here recently. Some have owned up to their less-than-stellar driving record, some have not.
I've also read of drivers, like yourself, who are being actively recruited by carriers. I don't know if this type of proselytizing is common in the industry but I suspect that if it is not common practice now it will become common practice soon enough.
JTL's DriverSEA is 77.11...not so good. ISS-D Recommendation=INSPECT. My guess is that they may be recruiting you because of your driving record. It must be good! Again, just a guess but I'd bet JTL is replacing sub-standard drivers with good drivers now in an attempt to avoid FMCSA interventions later.
I also think that carriers are going to be more willing these days to pay the price for good drivers. Good drivers will make a carrier look good to insurance companies, to FMCSA, to LEOs, to shippers and receivers. Definitely a win-win deal.
Good luck to you!Running Late and MoGooder Thank this. -
Ive learned alot from this site too.In Aug 26,2009 the safety measurement system is replacing safety stat. But you can still pull up safety stat.In march 2010 Driver information records, that site has started up for employers.to research the driver's info.
I thought all this stuff wasnt going to happen till july2010,Turns out thats when DOT goes into overdrive with these companies with a rating over 90.Running Late and JustSonny Thank this. -

This certainly is a late post, but relevant for anyone thinking about working for JTL Carriers or any Lorino family owned business. They the Lorinos owned JDC Logistics which filed 123 Wisconsin Statute. They bounced last paychecks. They were self insured and did not use insurance premiums taken out of paychecks for 6 months for medical and dental which left 500 drivers and their families to pay for all of those med and dental bills for those past 6 months that JDC stole from their employees. BEWARE OF ANY JTL CARRIER JOB or any BUSINESS OWNED by JEFF or TOM LORINO.
On a seperate note any company that is self insured does not have to provide health or dental benefits if they file bankruptcy under COBRA, you will be out on your own. Celedon is a trucking company that is self insured. Beware!!! -
Tandem then JDC, then closed doors in sept 2007, then Jeff started Jtl.. I made good money working with JDC until they shut doors. would i refer drivers to JTL "NO" "NO" "NO". If you want a good carrier in trucking and keep your record intact work at a stable trucking company. TOm was a great employer, jeff was ok. his brother Jay was just plain crook.
