    Thanks Husker. Will do.

Also, it appears Catfish is just north of Charlotte, if his location in the user info isn't a fib.

I know we pull into Wilson and out of Clinton, but my knowledge is so limited down there I'll leave it to more experienced hands to really answer.

I think we still go to Harris Teeter in Indian Trail & I know for sure we hit Food Lion up in Salisbury so that shouldn't be a problem. I scored myself a nice little 2,000 mile run after my little vacation in Tacoma over Thanksgiving. Had a single pick up of apples in Yakima, WA destined for Munster, IN on Tuesday AM. I could really get used to this, being as most produce loads are 4-6 pick ups.

we also go to Wal-Mart in Henderson, NC and Food City in Abington, VA which are points near the NC line to get you home.

Need to post in this thread so I can more easily identify it on the main page. I drive for another company, but I've been following this thread since it's inception. You guys have nice equipment and it sounds like it's a pretty good company to drive for.

Ditto to what hawk said. Our average CPM won't impress even compared to some of the mega carriers trying to attract those with some experience, BUT, rates seem to be improving and despite that the consistency of worthwhile checks by running hours EVERY WEEK and taking home an achievable idle bonus every two weeks makes this a great company to drive for. And we get to drive great equipment and get home weekly on top of it!

Husker I have "fond" memories of running Kraft into Salisbury and Harry Teeter at my last gig. Harry Teeter isn't a bad system. As you know, pull in the night before, catch a nap, and race to your doors at a reasonable time the next morning when called. You can finish your break where you started it on your way out if you need to. Food Lion is more your typical grocery warehouse.

I see a few of you posting and lurking in PA. When started here I lived in the Harrisburg area, and that was alright, but now I'm in SE PA which seems like a better position for here. Usually I have to DH to and from North Jersey, but those are usually gravy in that I do one long haul out to Iowa and then one back. Less time at the dock means more time at home and more time making money.

    Double ditto.

The difference shows up in the bank. Also, it shows up in the way that you're not a number. Tons of carriers proudly tout how you're not a number when you come and work for them. I don't even recall that being a part of VW's pitch, and ###### if I don't feel like I'm not a number for the first time in my driving life.

Well I guess I'll do a triple ditto. No complaints here especially since this is my first driving gig. No problem with pay and home time, amd your right nice eqiupment that they take care of. Sure there are other's promising the world, "home time" whatever that is and the x-amount per mile, but how many miles? Beware of the ones who advertise frequently, they are simply driver mills that take advantage of those less informed or the "new" immigrants with promises of large paychecks, only to be awakened to the reality with of a pocket full of change(lyrics from Billy Gibbons).
Voyager, the last sentence was not for you but generally speaking.

    Happy Trails

Tamaqua! I came through your lovely town tonight for the first time, in the rain, detouring over to 81 due to a NB shutdown of 476 at 209. What a day...three backups (the secong coming into Tamaqua) and I only ran 350 miles. The shipper was optimistic about loading me overnight if I dropped the trailer, well I didn't get out until after 1500 today!
