Picking up in the bustling metropolis of Joslin, IL. Deliver Thursday in Abingdon, VA. Looks like I'll be spending the 4th in Tennessee. Maybe some patriotic citizen will buy this old sailor a hot dog.

Sitting in Plympton, Ma, being unloaded. Speaking of AC, mine starting to recycle on and off last Friday. So I write it up and it went to Eddie's? WTF, needless to say it is still not working properly. In short I will find a KW dealer on Thursday. HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!

I get to battle Elizabeth, NJ the day after a friggin' holiday! Never been to the place before, Hernandez Beef & Provisions, but I know the area so it should be a real joy.

Was finally loaded at 2230, about an hour before their DDT. Was awaken out of a dead sleep to hook it up and such. Tried to sleep for another four hours but only managed three so hit the road. Parked in Corbin, KY at the PeeLot tonight. There is a heat index of 111 degrees. So another week of shooting my idle time...LOL!
I'm headed to Abingdon. Should I take US25 short cut to 81 or just stay on 75S? I know there is one lane on part of 75 but it'll be 3am. I've only taken 25 a couple of times and if I remember correctly, I didn't like it when loaded heavy which I am now, grossing over 78K.

Not sure on directions or schedule..but with Food City/KVAT you can show up the day before to check in for the next morning (and you should be 1st or 2nd on the list.. it's FCFS) If you are there by about 2pm they will get you unloaded that day... Also, no overnight parking.. earliest you can show is 3am and I believe meat receiving is 6am.. There is a petro up 81 about 8 miles.. exit 29
