Notez...I know its kinda late...but I wouldn't take 25E......it goes straight across the cumberland planteau....some pretty decent hill climbs and decents...not bad just steep, with stoplights at the bottom of some....your going to loose time with the lights and climbing...even though I75 has 2 way traffic on one side only.....but its up to you
I got a sweet load that ran me through the house after a 34...I went home and played with my little people....my kiddos think my truck is the coolest....LOL..and my 4 yearold wants to be a truck driver LOL....but now Empty at Sara Lee in New London...have to go to De Pere to p/u sysco going to Ankeny...

Back in Harrisonburg waiting on a Gargill four stop load. This load will actually take me through the house this weekend since the first two stops are in Chicago on Monday. The final two are in Wisconsin on Tuesday. I have to say though that this is one the best paying loads I've gotten so far. Especially for a back haul.
On another side note, KVAT Distribution in Abingdon, VA did not make me a happy camper today. Three of us VW drivers arrive with 0600 appointments this morning. Problem, they don't make appointments for meat deliveries, its first come, first serve. Three hours waiting for a dock and I'm told that I'll be splitting $90 of detention pay with the company. Seriously, $45?Last edited by notezbngrn71; 07.05.2012 at 06.03 PM.

Detention isn't exactly one of the selling points of working for our fair employer...but not having to worry about detention most of the time because of the turnaround? That's a selling point for sure.

its still more than you would have gotten with Roehl...(if you would have gotten any LOL).....but I really do like the fact that I don't have to sit around all #### day to get a load offer...they usually come after I send my MT or if I have to break they show up by the end of it.....
I am back in Ankeny...I deliver to Sysco tomorrow...I am going to try and get in early....I managed to get from greenbay to here in decent time....the stupid GPS wanted me to go down to milwaukee then over to madison....it was nice that I knew a faster route...and ended up heading south on 35....I could have taken US150 but there is a ton of destruction around madison that I avoided by taking state roads to get to 90...I had over an 1.5 hours left on my 14 hour clock and I still managed almost 650 miles today...Nice...I really enjoy a truck that can at least do the #### speed limit in most places...

Alright road dogs, I need a price check in the bluetooth aisle!
Took my iPhone 4 for a swim in celebration of Independence Day
, which wasn't all bad as I was due for upgrade and picked up a 4s yesterday. Love my Blue Parrott BT-250XT, but she hasn't been the same since iOS 4.0, and now she's really not playing well with Siri. I've had a hunch, bolstered I think by this morning's research-in-bed, that a nice new BT-250XT+ (notice the plus!) will put the whole wireless world back into beautiful harmony again. Trouble is, I imagine $84 from Amazon is a great deal, but I'm not feeling the patience for their super saver shipping. It's slower than rail freight for Pete's sake! Compounding my dilemma, I don't take any trips far enough outside Allentown to know what the big three want for one these days. So if I could get a price check on the BT-250XT+, I'd sure 'preciate it!

Made it home with 8 minutes to spare. Home with a load that is a four stop. Two stops in Chicagoland on Monday and then Cudahy and Madison on Tuesday.
Time for a cold beer or two or three...
