Oh yeah, usually on holidays I try to be off of the road by 2100. A couple years back I was out in Ohio on New Years Eve and I #### near hit a car head on that was stradling the center lane. My only choice was to take the ice covered shoulder & pray that I didn't hit him, the clench factor was about a 15 that night!

Hey guys hope you all have a safe holiday I'm getting ready to leave Waynesboro here shortly gotta be in Ardmore,Ok tuesday morning and then on to California so I will be on the road for at least 3 weeks.Be safe out there guys.

If anyone's headed across 80 thru Joliet, IL this weekend, the orange barrel cluster **** is wide open for the holiday weekend. Same unreasonably slow speed limit as always but it's 2 lanes all the way through, both directions. I went thru there yesterday in my car. You can tell the job's not done, they just temporarily opened it for the holiday weekend.

Good luck in Cali mushroom. Enjoy the Rockies!
Thanks for sharing that minivans. They are keeping it wide open til the 12th as I understand! -
When I went through there on Friday they had signs up saying that normal lane closures would resume on July 5th. Guess it's normal Illinois, they can't figure out what they want to do. Came to one of my most favorite places today, Shamrock Foods in Denver. It is known that you will be here atleast four hours past your appoint which is just spiffy. I talked to a Central driver earlier and he was given a 0300 appointment this morning, which is kinda funny since the receiving office doesn't even open until 0500. I am truly jealous Mushroom, I love that run you're on! I was trying to lay claim to it last week when I was in Waynesboro, but Cory said he already had a driver assigned to it. Hope everyone had a good fourth & be safe.

got a question.... what rpm's do you guys idle at overnight if you have to run the truck?? i'm trying to avoid another clogged dpf or failed egr cooler....
-
Hawk,
When I idle overnight, it's set at 700, of course I drive an older Pete w/o DEF vs. a newer KW with, so I'm not sure there is a comparison.

Hey Guys/Gals,
I'm sure you heard of the Historic signing yesterday in old Mexico, old news I know, but you better call your Congressman/Woman and tell them to vote for HR2407, PARA., otherwise in few years they'll have our jobs, thanks to big business and profit, and working for less, watch out!
Be safe
