That was authorization to pull your driving history, CSA history, and investigate your employment history. You were authorizing a background check. On Monday I'll look at the form and see what's going on in the wording that gave you the impression we would be checking your credit.

Our recruiter was out for the last three days of last week.

The thing is, none of our happy drivers are motivated to go out on the internet and talk about us. It's the ones who left on bad terms for whatever reason that feel the need to get back at us by slandering our name online. That's why I said I'd be glad to put you in touch with any of our current drivers. We have been in business since '94 so obviously there must be some drivers that we get along with. We do take very good care of the drivers who take care of us. After all, at the end of the day we're all just trying to keep each other employed.

Call this number if you guys want answers. Personally I would never do a lease, but this guy seems to be willing to provide the information you are looking for.

Stay away from this company! They will rip you blind! They run phony lease/purchase scams; they have the junkiest equipment on the planet (i.e., Rustbucket 90's Freightshakers); they will force-pressure dispatch and force u to falsify your logbooks. They've gone to some junky satellite system (not Qualcomm -or PeopleNet, and no E-Logs), just mainly to monitor "your 20" - so they can ring your phone off the hook & dish 45,000 lb./Georgia-Pacific loads (Big Isle,Va.) with no reasonable dead-head window.

Don't get reeled in by that North Carolina Newspaper article! They'll run u overnite from Indy to Charlotte (tell u to cook-the-books & shortchange your 10-hour break), then dead-head to "Winston-Salem" over to another Papermill, take that load over to Greenville (on the East Coast), unload there & dead-head to Big Island, Va., by 10:00 o'clock that night! No 10-hour break! Watch these people, they're devious. Their junk equipment breaks-down on the side of the road (Series 60 Detroits, with over 1,000,000 miles) then no help till mornin' (if you're lucky) - no help, no motel room, no wrecker service; no re-imbursement on the motel room; "if you're thumbing yer bumbing" @ this company!

Also, watch their recruitment pitch over-the-phone! They might pay for a bus ticket to Richmond, Indiana -but when u get there you're gonna be sleeping in a trashed-out Freightliner (full of dog & cat hair; & a ton of other garbage/ Cheetos, Spilled Soda, Dried Ketchup,etc.). Don't expect to be checking into The Super 8. Plus, the clean-up cost on the junk-bucket truck they assign you is going to be on you! All out of your pocket. Also, if you want to call their home base a Terminal ( it's actually more like a run-down, abandoned fabricating plant from the 50's or 60's), good luck taking a shower there - or finding a driver's room to go through your personal belongings. There is none! There's no running water in the contaminated bathroom they call a toilet; and their driver's room consists of several wooden chairs like you used to have in 1st grade, with a big emboldened sign on the office door "NO DRIVERS ALLOWED BEYOND THIS POINT!!!" Real impersonal place. Watch Out! Once they get you to Richmond, In., then The Chips slide "to their end of the table". Me & 3 other drivers (2 from Georgia & Tennessee) caught a serious case of the blues messing with these jokers. See, they really only "take care of their own" (the local-yoke-als out of Richmond/ however many of them they have left). If u come in from out-of-state, watch out, you'll probably be paying for your own way home. "Tread lightly, watch the Thin Ice" @ Caregan Transport.
