    Stabob :
Can you update once more about your working hours? I drove for them for two months back in 2007 and left as soon as I had another job offered to me. The reasons? The pay (32cpm) and that pesky 14 hour rule you mentioned a couple of months ago. I repeatedly had a late night pickup at petsmart that I had to deliver to the Miami area the next morning only to be told they wanted me to pick up a recycling load near Tampa at 3pm.
I was considering giving Pemberton another chance after striking out with two other small local outfits this year, but not if they still expect their drivers to run over the 11 and or 14 hours rules. I'm not good at saying no, so its best for me to not put myself in that situation in the first place, especially since they have qualcomm.

Well I need to rename this FIRED by Pemberton!! S.O.B'S! Ive never NEVER been fired b4. This company uses USPS for your bills, logs ect.Ok thats fine but if you have lose leaf logs with no carbon copys you need your last seven right? no sh%t! but what happens when your truck goes down for 7 days too times.Well they tell you to mail them when you get home on Friday,Ok but its four days from where i live to Knoxville.I would know my wife works at USPS.

Anyways I got the call from them wheres your truck at? can you bring it to Winter Haven? why? we dont need drivers here that dont comply with dot regs. What are you talking about? this is two times you have not sent your logs in within 14 days.
Your kidding me right? So i go though all of the above with them but thats was it.

Dont really understand how its ok to run 20 hr days but make it look good,BUT if we dont get ur BS logs in time thats it for ya.

Oh well Im back at Indian River still home every weeked and a hell of a lot nicer truck.

I do want to say I cant diss on Pemberton to much other than this.It really was an ok job. I just got bilndsided by them. kinda makes me wounder if i did something that i was not aware of for them to do that but i cant think of anything.
oh well got a story to tell now.

Sorry to hear about them doing like that... kinda sucks!!! Going local with IRT or regional??? I know last time I called them they didn't have anything but 3-4 weeks out, too much for my situation at home but....
Good luck with them and keep us posted how it goes!!!

Wow, low miles at .32 sucks. But hell no different the Heartland, .38 cpm and the most I got was 2100 doing otr, or service as they call it. But I was regional driver. Once I asked to do regional, the most miles I did was 902! What a joke, starved for the whole month I was there. Surprised I lasted that long.
