I have heard that there are driving jobs in Afghanistan and Iraq. Does anyone know what companies are hiring? Or how to search for them?

    Thanks!!

Yeah a few years back i heard that they were hiring drivers to drive from Kuwait to Iraq don't know if the pays really worth you life though cause i'd heard a story from a south african that went over to drive there saw a truck right in front of him get taken out with an RPG round he decided the next day that he'd done his time and went to the USA to drive instead.

KBR was a subsidiary of Halliburton, but is not one any longer. Halliburton won't have any international jobs for drivers only, all of that work will go to locals.

I know im a newbie to the forum but i would like to say the 15 months i spent in iraq in 2007-2008 all the drivers were from KBR. Everything i saw over there was KBR actually so they would be the first one i would check out.

My trainer has a friend who is going on his fifth year with KBR. He is in his late 50's. After his 4th year overseas he thought he was done and went to work for Swift. He lasted two months then went back to KBR. It can get ugly. You can find the youtube video online of when a hotzone transport goes wrong. They do get shot at but he has only one story of someone getting shot in the leg though the door.
