Schwend Inc

I worked with a guy from there back in 2004 when he decided to leave and come haul sod with the company I worked for, he lasted about 2 weeks with us and immediately went back to Schwend. I can't for the life of me remember his name, but he was a bigger guy who pulled tanks, and kept a stuffed Sponge Bob character on his dash. We got along good for the few weeks I worked with him, and would still see him occasionally when he went back to Schwend, seemed happy over there and I'm sure he's still there.

 

How often do you guys get home?

 

Actually just got off the phone with their recruiter and decided to check on here for any opinions about Schwend. So far so good. Probably going to do the "Trip Lease" with them (basically renting their trailer and run my own authority) so If I need to haul something on my own or leave for a week, no big deal. Easier way to run for them yet have a little freedom if needed.

 

Does anybody have any info on how they pay owner operators? Most of these companies tell you that you can make a certain amt just to get you in but once you start working its a different story.

Worked out of jasper terminal. Mr Black is a dam good guy.My dispatcher Michelle it was having a sister on.the phone with you.She could be hard for a small woman but she was the best dispatcher anyone could ask for.I will say it again money isn't everything.
