Im going to school in little rock in 9 days. Ive been prequalified for Pam but I'm hoping for USA. Anyone know anything about PAM? There website has almost no info on how they go about there business. In particular I'm curious about how there training program works.

1 month in a trainer truck then out on your own? How much do they pay Newbs with Hazmat endorsement a mile? Ive heard That you get stuck with someone team driving for 6 months no matter what when you start. Anyone got any answers or can point me in the right direction? Any info would be awesome:biggrin_25519:

Check the regulations section of the forum and see how USA faired in the latest CSA scoring. I would avoid them unless you want to be a target by law enforcement for inspection. Your call.

You can always give PAM a call and ask all those questions about their training program. The call is usually free.

What do you want to know there are a few current pam and former drivers on here.
They saw one month i've talked to some drivers that did a month and went on there own and some drivers where on trainers truck for up to 6 weeks because some dispatchers and pre planners wanted the truck to run.

Im not sure on the haz mat pay for newbs, I refused to get a haz mat while working for pam im waiting until I leave pam to get my haz mat.

Thats not true getting stuck with someone for 6 months no matter when you start. I've been there almost a year and I never teamed and I was told you most team also. It also depends on where you live also if anyone is near you.
If you are a smoker and not a smoker will help to because there was other drivers near me that could have been team that started around same time but they where all smokers and I wasn't.

And bottom feeders seem to be the only place to start for most people... Insurance companies don't help out.

Research both of their forums here. Read and ask questions.

I don't see USA out on the road like I once did. Their freight may have fallen off. Swift is everywhere and where I went to get recent experience.

Are you going to be PTDI certified? If so Check out Crete. Might want to check with Conway truckload too.

There is nothing said about it so I imagine not. I get the feeling this place only does the bare minimum to get you on the road.
