Can anyone give me some information on cypress truck lines? Lately I've been seeing new trucks, but can anyone tell me how long is training and do you have to spend time on the road with a trainer?

Thanks for that information hotrod, I plan on going to cypress I'm just waiting on my application process to finish which should be tomorrow. I have some type of flatbed exp but it was with a straight truck with a moffet but I got ten months tractor trailer exp. Do you like working for them? Has the equipment gotten better?, I've seen some new ones lately out here in Wilmington NC. Also is the pay for orientation and training good? And during your time out with your does he make you drive or just practice securing the loads? Sorry for all the questions!!!

im happy here i make pretty good money and get home everyweekend so i cant complain. we do have some old and some new equipment but they do take pretty good care of them if you actually report the maint. probs. with your truck they do fix them.
the pay is like $100 a day up to $500 a week altogether training and orientation should only be 2 and a half weeks for you with 10 mos. while you are with your trainer you are supposed to do all driving and you both tarp and secure load. owners rules. no problems ask away if i can help i will.frontalglobe and Big j 86 Thank this. -
How long does the application process take? I did mine last Thursday and still haven't heard nothing. Everytime I call I'm being told it's still being process, does it take this long? Was it the same problem for you

HotRod, does Cypress still run any cabovers? The website shows a green Freightliner COE w/ a flatbed load of black pipes.
