Hey guys, question about hauling fuel

i started with werner out of school when i was 21 (24 now), i was with them for 3 months before i left. and was with a trainer the whole time. he was regional and spent most of the time running from washington to portland so i was getting NO hours to get out of his truck and on top of that all i he talked about every single minute of everyday was how white people hold down the black man, how the black man has it rough etc etc

i expressed to him its hard enough being in tight quarters with someone everyday without having to hear from him how terrible it is being black, all that did was lead him into a rant about how i just proved his point that white people dont want to listen to him, i eventually asked to get onto another truck that wasnt regional and explained to them what i was dealing with, they said they would try to move me. A week went by and i never heard from them so it pissed me off and i left

i got hired on with watkins shepard was there for 5 months and as a new driver i really enjoyed that company but the whole point of me getting into driving was i wanted to haul fuel, i got the opp with hill petroleum in denver, they started me out hauling oil in bobtail trucks and after 6 months with them they told me they wanted to put me in a fuel truck...one week later i was laid off....they went broke and let go of everyone

so this leads me to today, i was living with my dad and he got cancer and i wasnt about to go back on the road with that going on and couldnt get hooked up with a local company, i havent driven in a year and 4 months now and am about to go back out on the road with an owner op buddy of mine to get "warmed up" for a lack of better words, hill has expressed to me recently that they have no problem getting ahold of companies for me to help me as i am dedicated and easily trained, werner is the only job ive ever quit for the reason of not liking a job

is there any place you guys can lead me too that will give me a shot at hauling fuel in az with the experience i have, willing to train, hiring without 3 years experience, give a relatively new guy a shot etc..even if its otr, as long as im pullin a tank i dont care what i have to do, somethin about hauling fuel i love

sorry about the length on this, just wanted to give a history of my experience to get a chance at giving you guys an idea of where i could go, thanks everyone

Phoenix and Tueson have all the loading terminals. Of course Phoenix is the larger of the two. You'll need to go and talk with them because there are many companies that pull out of Phoenix. Just look for the big white tanks and your see the trucks running in and out. The big boys are there too like ARCO but I haven't seen anyone get hired on with them without local gasoline experience. But it doesn't hurt to try all of them.
