flat steel from Houston to Eagle Pass, easy load but god I despise these steel places in Houston, they jam as many trucks in as they can and take forever to load you.

I just seen a LST truck pulling a flatbed with a side kit. When did this happen?

did it look new? owner ops can bring their own trailers in but you're saying it was a company truck?

T/A sent out a couple of guys last night but they couldn't repair me after figuring out the alternator went bad, so I didn't get fixed up until about noon. Finally made it to the receiver at 1 and the place is like a wind tunnel. It took forever to roll up my tarps.

Well, load tomorrow in Milwaukee heading to Houston.

I just hauled one of those loads DJ from P&H... cake. bunch of wooden boxes and maybe an uncovered part or 2. No tarp either. Be sure to have safety glasses on from the time you enter the plant.. they'll jump on ya if you don't.

A veteran flatbetter once told me that in windy conditions when folding tarps... place on the deck in a jumbled mess and strap it down.. move 200 miles down the road and try it then. LOL. I haven't tried it but it sounds like solid advice.

I'm picking up a bunch of flat wire mesh looking things and coils of wire mesh on pallets from a Steel & Wire joint in Madil OK and making 4 drops between Alice and Brownsville TX tomorrow. Then i'll be routed home with something from Pharr and Tcall it in FtW for my hometime. I was asked if I wanted to take this or not since i'm due home wednesday and probably won't be home until then, if not Thursday, but given I just spent this past weekend at home and I'm still gonna have 4 days off this week... and its $90.00 for all the stops along with the milege I opted to take it.

    djtrype Thanks this.

AZS, as we loaded out of the same place. I made it there around 1145 today. But I just made it to Sealy before I had to stop. Tha t place seriously ticked me off today, and I wont get to eagle pass until noon tomorrow now.

Good thing they take deliveries till 3:30 I suppose. They loaded us really heavy (like steel places tend to do) but I should be able to burn enough fuel where I'll be alright.
