Well that was a good ending because most story's about truck drivers new to the business are not that way. so i wish you all the luck on your new job.

yeah, I got a reset last wed/thurs and left Fri. I pretty much pulled 10:55 hours every day... pulled 10:45 on my way out.. with a broken up unload day.. I think I worked 6 or7 that day....and 11:01 today. I've got like 6.5 hours left. I've been hauling this week for sure! I'll be happy to have 2 days down..

I feel ya on the hometime thing. I'm staying out until the 2nd week in march.. the lady is making me come home so she can celebrate my birthday, of which i'd rather just work. but, i'll have been out 10 weeks at that point... and as of now i've only been through the house once and the ladies twice... so its not like its been 10 "straight" per se... but none the less.

Tyrone.. who are you referring to?

DJ.. im so jealous. We're gonna get there at some point. I went a number of years ago and been trying to get back ever since! Drink 2 or 3 for me bro.

Mystikal, you should try Lisa's truck stop on the east side of town. Way better food and cheaper prices than the T/A. They also have clean showers and lots of locals go there to eat. The place isn't much to look at, but they do take care of their customers, IMO.

If I'm on my normal run on Saturday, I would be blasting though there about 10:00 local time, also.

had to get new steer tires and an alignment done today, tread wasn't at replacement level yet but close enough for the shop I guess.

I opted to stay in Albuquerque for my days off stint. Not rolling to midland until Sunday for my Monday delivery... Then Im preplanned on a load of sheetrock out of Rotan bound for... Albuquerque. Lol. I cant win.

On a side note... Anyone had problems with their espar heater before? Mine will blow heat for a bit.... No specific time... sometimes short sometimes long... Then just stop. No cool down... No nothing. Its like someone just pulled the plug. The control unit still has power but the unit does nothing. If I turn it off then on again it resets but does the same thing. Twice now ive woken up freezing because of this problem.

Check and make sure the air intake into the Espar heater isn't blocked. Even a plastic sack is enough to block the air coming into the heater and it will just stop working.
