I am going through the hoops to get hired for a local driving job at the USPS in Minneapolis. Any one ever do a USPS prehire driving test? I have it setup for next week and just wondering if they pull any fast ones on ya during the test.

    Thanks

Don't know about USPS driving test but more likely they will send you out on a truck with a trainer or manager to see what kind of driving skills you have. Also maybe some backing and dock backing etc.

Yeah, I've done 73,000 with them this year. Thats with OT, and I'm still not top scale.

Carrier jobs at local post offices are pretty secure . There are different unions for clerks , carriers , and rural carriers . Nobody starts out as permanent . Flex workers start out where needed and get plenty of OT . It could take a couple of years to get a permanent position .
