Yes I have a 30" flat screen, the trucks I have driven all have a built in TV antenna. You just have that cable in it that hooks up to the back of the TV.Some guy's have sattelite, but you have to have the reciever dish and that turns into a big hassle.I'm in Dallas now and when I auto programed the station's,I got 91 station's.Half of them are spanish and a bunch of infomercial crap.I don't watch alot of TV but as long as I'm pretty close to a city or town,I can pickup quite a few station's.I think I'm going to try netflix on my laptop and I have already bought the cable (HDMI) that will hook up to the TV,I think I would enjoy watching movies that I picked instead of whatever I can pick up on TV.

Got a choice of 3 loads
KC to St Louis 230 miles-no thanks
KC to Lawton,OK 420 miles-no thanks
Topeka to Terrell TX 505 miles + 89 deadhead-took it
The Lawton load should be the best, but as I have stated in an previous post, that I told Mark I wouldn't run that load again.I tried it twice and got burned both times, here's why. It's a heavy shredded paper load 44k+,the appt. time was firm at 1100,they send out 6 to 10 loads all at once,so unless you have the early appt at 0700 or 0800 you get to sit till the next day for a load out,at least that's what happened to me both times I tried it.A lease driver can't make no money on 200 miles a day, even getting good fuel mileage.
The load I took wasn't that great either because I couldn't pick it up till 1830 because they hold that load in case they have to put more on it at the last minute.I got it picked up right at 1830 but only had 1 1/2 hrs left on my 14.I'm only going to get 300 miles per day on this load, but it's better than 200 on the Lawton load.Left Topeka and it started storming pretty bad out, then the winds hit 60 mph and I had 42k in the box and it was blowing me around pretty good so I parked it at the Emporia rest area, only had 45 min. left anyway.
The great new's is that I got the new fuel in route and it routed me out of KC to Topeka on I70 the whole way,and then down 335 to 35 to Dallas. If I would have been driving when I saw this,I would have wrecked.31.25 in toll reimbursment.I have to thank ACT for correcting this problem that we all have been having with the old system.Thank You ACT!
Since I like all you other ACT driver's so much.I had a trailer that was preloaded and heavy out of Dallas Tues that I could not get the brakes to work to slide the tandems they wouldn't hold at all.I finally found a big curb at the shipper and backed up to it and got it to slide,so no brakes all the way to Harrisonville,MO.Instead of going on to Topeka and just dropping that trailer and passing it on to another driver,I took it to KC and dumped it at the yard and got another emt. What goes around comes around guy's!With Road Check coming up next week,I would have felt like crap if someone got pulled in and got fined, csa point's and probably put out of service. We have to take care of each other on this equipment, with only one yard,a trailer could possibly get hung out on the road for a year or more without ever getting looked at,so be nice.

Started out this week with full tank's and also had a load that I delivered mon,but couldn't get it scanned in time.It was around 900 miles. This week was bad also because of the holiday and even with the load I held,I will only end up with around 2000 miles, which suck's.

Got my Terrell TX load delivered at 1600 and 10 minutes later got a preplan from Terrell to Denver,813 miles for Mon. delivery at 0700.Not a great load but I took it because I can stop in Amarillo for a day and a half and see my folk's,so it's cool.First time I've been offered a load to Denver and the change will be nice.Ask BL,that if I took this load that I wouldn't be hung up there all day Mon and he said no they would get me out.So mile high here I come.

To my knowledge we have a load coming out that'll always be waiting. Sad part is it's heavy crap for johnson controls.

Hey Kujo, where you been hiding?,As long as that loads ready Mon,I don't care about the weight. That is with no wind, since it's flat back across to KS or wherever,I'm assuming you mean St Joe.Mark told me if they didn't have a load they would deadhead me back to Omaha,Topeka,or Des Moines. The one thing I did notice on the Qualcom is that it's a live unload and it's tires.Said 150.00 lumper fee or driver assist.I can't remember what a driver assist pay's?Think I'll go the lumper route and hope it takes 3 or 4 hrs to get them off, then I'll make more on the detention.

Looking at few different ones (27-32") plus I need something more for storage above the bunk - too much wasted space without the second bunk.

Some help/pointers needed
