    Congrats and good luck brother. You've done very well for yourself, you should be proud. You did it the right way.

    I for one would take line haul at night any day over local p&d.

    Point taken. If you have a family it probably would be difficult being on opposite shifts.

    However, if your single you can spend all night at the clubs on weekends

    no, not all Line Haul Drivers work night, allot do but not all. IMO the best LTL job would be First Shift Line Haul, but night shift isnt any differant then a doctor or a warehouse worker that works 2nd or 3rd shift....

    Also, beware of the different types of convertor dollies. There are different kinds of air valves and setups. Always release the trailer brakes, and walk back to the dolly and the tail listening for air leaks.
