Opinions on Roehl, TMC, McElroy, Colonial, USExpress, and KLLM
Gonna be out of school in a couple weeks and wondering about some companies. Roehl, TMC, McElroy, Colonial, USExpress, and KLLM. I know there are both flatbed and trailer but I am still a toss-up as to which I would prefer. Would really appreciate some feedback. Thanks.

I've worked for USX for a year and I like them. I have no idea how they compare to the other companies.

Flatbedding requires a certain degree of "pride" and appreciation of a "job well done" if it's to be done right. But if you don't possess these traits, you should probably limit your choices to van/reefer outfits. If you enjoy a challenge, flatbedding (TMC preferred) is for you. It may be said flatbed freight is up and down, and that's somewhat true but van freight is FLOODED with available equipment probably much more so than flatbed freight. Also, it seems flatbedders probably have a better home-time regime than others if that's a consideration and still manage to make a little money if they're willing to work hard in between.
Where do you call home? That will have a certain bearing on your ultimate considerations.

I'm with KLLM.
Some drivers are doing great and some drivers are complaining. I think you will find that at most any company.
Search for KLLM on this site for a few existing info threads.

He should look up all those companies in the search bar. There are multiples upon multiples of threads on all of the companies he listed. They're all starter companies and not career companies. Just my opinion...
