Im guessing that you are located in Alabama because of your name. I'm in Alabama as well and did not know that they hire here. Did they tell you otherwise?

no,i'm in n.w. ga.they have a terminal in dalton which is close to home.i've been an auburn fan since the late 80's.

Have you read any of the other Watkin's posts. Sounds like they may be decent.

I worked for Watkins Shepard for 6+ years. They are a great company to work for. In fact, after a ten year break, I am going back to work for them in Sept. Dispatch always seemed fair to me and I ran alot of miles. I was in the National Guard when I worked for them and I maintained a 100% attendance record, so that tells you a bunch right there. Went to their school in 1996 and left in June of 2002 in order to go full time with the Guard. Retired from there now, so it's back on the road. Woot!! Can't hardly stand the wait to roll again.
