I tell the company at the interview that I will not run over hrs. don't ask !! PERIOD !!!!! if they have a problem with it ,I'll go elsewhere.

used to be able to and it didn't really matter ,once in a while. now we have a lot of enforcement and it just isn't worth my CDL .

Some things never change...I have been out of time ...(Hours)...And called dispatch...Told me to get it there and unload....Safety wrote me up for it...Same Terminal ..

Picked up a "Hot Load"...Trailer tarped and waiting for me on the yard....Bill of lading has written right on the face of it in big letters in red pen...."Driver Responsible for overweight.....I stopped at the nearest scale WAY OVER WEIGHT....Called dispatch...."Do you want my to bring it back to the yard or back to the Shipper?"....NO ....can't you get it there without crossing the scales?....That was probably about when they started to not like me so much anymore...

They will ask you to break the rules..(The Law)....And throw you to the wolves..

and in the end if you do it...ITS YOUR FAULT...even tho they ask you to....its your responsiblity NOT to run illegal...and if you get caught...YOU pay the price...and will end up not being able to get a job...hope you do the right thing....STAY SAFE STAY LEGAL...its just not worth it...its not like it used to be....

Well that load kept getting better they had another driver go load it for me.when he got back i went and scaled it and guess what. 700lbs over weight and told them No again would not pull it.now being routed to terminal monday afternoon to have a sit down talk with terminal manger. And i am an o/o leased to the company so cant wait to see how that goes.why with all the new rules and regulation do companies expect you to break them. Its my butt on the line not theres
