They seem to be good to go...Rod rocks! Excellent training there for truckers...and as long as you communicate there usually isnt an issue

I'm looking into driving local for Napa Transportation out of Mechanicsburg, Pa. I was wondering if there were any updates? Add claims 18/hr and they pay OT for night shift, off weekends home daily. Sorry for digging up an old post, can't find any info on their day cab side of things

My husband drives for NAPA Trans, and what I've learned about the company is this: The terminal in Mechanicsburg is not the one to go to if you have mechanical issues. Also, certain DM's will not listen to you and the routes that you would prefer. Watch your payroll for breakdown pay, otherwise if you breakdown and don't push for your pay. They will not give it. Watch the miles you drive. My husband did a short run of 120 miles and they say you get paid .65 cents for miles 100-200, AND your start pay is .44 cents for anything over 200 miles. My husband was given .41 to start and instead of getting .65 cents for the short run they paid him .41 cents. He didn't receive his breakdown even though he sent a Macro on the Qualcomm. If you don't want to drive the 600 legal miles a driver can do, than NAPA is the company for you. However, for the drivers that are looking for OTR positions. Be careful what DM you get. Some, especially my husband's, don't send their drivers south. My husband told them he wanted miles, and to stay out of New England. He doesn't get but 1300-1500 miles a week, and they are always pushing him up in the New England States. See how well they listen and care about their drivers? They're supposed to be a pet friendly company, but the day my husband's rig was being worked on. He and the dogs had to stand outside in freezing cold weather for 6 hours while the shop was fixing the truck. Other drivers could bring their dogs into the driver lounge but he couldnt, other drivers had their dogs at the motel, he couldnt, and the shop would allow other drivers to leave their dogs in the truck but he couldn't. I will say that there are a lot of really nice people that work for that company, but a lot of the department's don't communicate with each other and stuff gets messed up. At times, it felt like he was working for SWIFT again, only the sliding pay scale wasn't as extreme and you don't go west unless you're an owner op. At least that's what we've been told.

From what I hear quite a few companies do this? Why? Everything we cheat the drivers out of adds to the bottom line? Nice.
