Absolutely Godslove. I don't know if he is in Dayton, but he is surely a Foodliner plant on this website.

If you look back in his history, He starts things off asking about Foodliner, as if he is inquiring about them. Then, when someone says what they think, he comes back trying to make the person look stupid.

What does that say about Foodliner's view of itself, that they feel the need to pay someone to rebutt things said on the internet.

Also, in "Full disclosure" I will tell you that I am actually the guy who got fired in Langhorne, PA for what I wrote on an internet forum. I was just being sarcastic in my original post, but looking back, I don't want it to be seen as dishonesty.

Welcome back Jimbo! I see my comments have stirred up some vicious comments from various drivers. I never joined on to be some big secret corporate spy. it's funny how you think i purposely mispelled words to look "dumb" as to fit in with drivers. couldn't be farther from the truth. who really cares if my spelling is perfect. i'm not in school anymore so i don't get graded on my grammar.

so who wants to know the the truth out there?

Myth 1: i work for Foodliner corporate = TRUE

    Myth2: i am a dispatcher = FALSE

Myth 3: i am paid to "troll" websites = FALSE

Myth 4: i get drivers fired for their comments here: FALSE

I've been with Foodliner for over 6 years. I started as a driver doing dry bulk locally. I soon moved to running regional as there wasn't enough work in my area at the time. After 6 months i became a driver trainer. A little later on i started hauling liquid too and would run a dual equipped truck to do both types. I was a lead driver, then a terminal manager for a while and then back to a driver full time. Now i work in the corporate office but still drive or train occasionally when needed - and i love it.

So all of you know it alls out there can say what you want about me but i've been through it before and still go through it on a regular basis. If i lost my job today, i'd be back on the road tomorrow driving.

I've said this before, i like the company i work for and am proud to be a part of it. My purpose out here is to hear what drivers are saying and to dispell any lies.

Foodliner drivers and drivers for other companies: i'm here to answer questions and de-BS what i think is not true.

Well, HogBoy, thanks for admitting you are from Corporate.

    Now answer this one honestly:
Did you have anything to do with me getting fired for what I wrote on the other site?

Don't be afraid to say yes, if it's true. I would just thank you for what you did. Ask Frank D. out of Newark Delaware if I say what i mean, and mean what I say. I am so glad to be away from these people, I hold no grudge for what happened. I just think the way it happened was a bit under-handed.

As far as you trolling the websites?
    You explain this:

I get fired at 21:30, the last night of August. I go home, and log on the other website. There you are, trying to "De-BS" as you put it, what I said. I check you out, and find out you had just joined that very day, and the only posts you made were in response to what I said. You don't post to any other topics, just those involving Foodliner.

Now I google Foodliner, and find you here, doing the same thing.

One thing about me, is that I don't pretend to be something I am not. I talk a big talk, but I walk the walk too.

When I started with FoodLiner, I ran flour out of a rail yard in Philly, to Kelloggs in Blue Anchor, NJ. I ran 7 days a week, for over 18 months. ***YES*** 18 months without a single day off!! Where are you going to find that kind of dedication in today's driver pool?

From there, I started doing liquid out of Langhorne, PA, delivering to Coke in Maspeth. I did 2 a night, which took 13 hours. Coke was one of their worst accounts to deal with, but I got the job done. I did everything I was ever asked to do, and only grumbled a little here and there.

So don't try to paint yourself as some driver who was more dedicated than I was. I was with Foodliner for 5 years. If I was a bad driver, I wouldn't have lasted that long. Also, I just got my 4th year safe driving, out of the 4 I was eligible for. I also had 3 "Perfect Year" awards out of those 4 years. Check my records, since you are with corporate, and tell everyone here if it's not true. My driver ID was SmithJA, out of Terminal 26. I was in turck 204135 when i got fired. Check out my history with Foodliner, and tell me where I "just didn't cut it".

As much as I dislike the Corporate end of FoodLiner, I like a lot of people who work for them. Maybe I would like you if I knew you, but I don't like what you are doing here.

I wouldn't be afraid to admit it IF it was true. Like I said before, some one else had told me about this website and what was posted on it. Imagine how many people troll this website and never say anything - that could be anybody including drivers. Naturally when i heard about what was posted here i wanted to jump in. You're right though, i only post about Foodliner because that's all that concerns me.

I can't comment on your record, one because i'm not at work. Typically i do my posting before or after work - i'm not paid to do this. Second, i could defend what you say about your awards and dedicated service but i might also see negative things in your record. I believe that is private information and wouldn't give that out, that is company policy whether i'm at work or not. No different then when you apply for a job somewhere else and they call to check up on you - only what the DOT requires an employer to report is all we report.

I'm sorry you don't like what i'm doing here but i would like to see things stay in balance.

I am not telling you to get too detailed, but if a single thing I say is not true, you have my permission to say it here. As for the rest of the details, maybe you could do this:

Take a quick look at my record, and give me your honest opinion. Put me on a scale of 1 to 10. 10 being the best I could be. 1 being a menace to society. Just a number, as to where you feel I would fall onto that scale. I will admit I don't think I would give myself a 10, but I would argue for a strong 9. The problem is that all the other drivers I saw were mostly 4s or 5s, with a few 7 and 8s mixed in. And all I asked for ever, was to be kept busy. was that so much to ask?

How in the world do you (not you personally, but anyone) justify a driver making 71K in 2006, then 65K in 2007, 64K in 2008, and then 62K in 2009? The longer I worked there, the lower my pay went. How low was it supposed to go, before I started making noise?

The fact still remains that in my 25 years of driving, 2007 was my best year. I was driving for Foodliner during that year for the whole year, so to this day, Foodliner **WAS** the best company I ever drove for, before things started going south.

I say a lot of things, both good and bad, but I do try to be fair.

And heck, Foodliner paid me every dime they owed me after they fired me, which does, sadly, make them a lot better than a lot of other companies i have worked for.

Trucking is dynamic as opposed to static... There can appear to be favorites at times and probably there are... LOL That's life...

but back to running a company and the industry being dynamic...

Often being in the right place at the right time determines who gets the killer load.

A guy I work with, lives between supplier and customer. he makes 2.5 runs per day, sleeps in his bed nightly, and is out of hours every friday, making GOOOOOD money. I'm not jealous and dread when he is on vacation because we have to cover the loads... ewww for us, the best we can do is 2 loads a day... well unless you want to sleep on the off ramp because the log book doesn't work out for us.

Often being in the right place isn't all it takes.

drivers and trucks are often assigned by terminal, region, dispatcher, and then other priorities like driver preference and load availability.

its great that you made 70k but what if two others only made 50 and were going to leave the company? Cutting you back to 60k and upping them to 55k could cure the situation.

Better to only be looking for one replacement instead of two or preferrably keep all three of you working and happy. that's team-work and watching the bottom line for the greater good of all.

Sorry to splooge all over your typing party here... I wouldn't quit or get fired from 62k a year if I liked the work, to go out and hope to make 70k elsewhere and maybe hate the work.

But that's me, and I don't need 70k to pay my bills or be happy.

Hey Foodliner is not covering the employees spouses with insurance is they have a job elsewhere that offers insurance. If the spouse works more than 27 hrs. week they have to purchase insurance at thier company. Foodliner also has put more of the cost of the insurance on the driver. They started increasing the preimums about 2 yrs. ago. They are as low as the lowest as far as caring for drivers. Also worked out of the Wichita, Ks terminal. The management sucks there. The dispatcher plays favorites with the drivers. Also if she gets mad she screws you on runs. Left there after 5 years. No future there. Wont change until John Martin gone and Rachel gone. Until that happens go elsewhere.:biggrin_25512:
