Epes transport and epes logistics are ran as two separate companies. With two different customer bases. My understanding is they don't see our board and we don't see their board. If anybody knows our core customers , they know we don't move cheap. I thought every body knew brokers jobs was to get loads moved as cheap as they can .

If you can't get that consistently you aren't managing your time very well lol I get that in and more without breaking a sweat most weeks. Just like anywhere else you'll have a short week from time to time but the miles are there pretty much year round

    Hammerlane89 Thanks this.

sdsdaniel, flyingmusican...thx for all the informative posts on your ventures and adventures at EPES. In the process of trying to get onboard, all-in-all, they check out pretty good. Tough, by the rules, but that's OK. I'm a newbie out of driving school, I think its one of the better choices to start. thx again for all the info, this forum has been invaluable in getting educated on companies, orientation, training, etc. Really great. thx

as of March 3rd we will be getting .10 per loaded mile in the northeast, instead of .07! And they raised O/O pay by .02!

I'm hoping that's EXTRA pay, not actual mileage pay! :)

Do they actually allow O/Os to lease on with them, or do you have to lease their truck? (That would make you a L/O, not an O/O - big difference) O/O is when you bring your truck and haul their loads. L/O is when you pay for fuel and all the expenses on THEIR truck and haul their loads. And then give them their truck back after you've paid it off and kept it well maintained for them. :)
