If not, this may be the reason:
Load on ITS posted by EPES - Wilmington, DE to Fayetteville, NC - 44K van load of shingles - 430 miles, 4 loads available.
Rate? $450 to the truck. $1.05 per loaded mile.
Why would they pay a company driver to move them when they can broker them out and get them moved for less than their cost to run a company truck?
This driver won't touch those loads.
EPES drivers, are you getting enough miles?

Can't say I'm hurting at all. Still got a rolling average of 2700 a week +/- a hundred or 2. This week got 2050 as of 9am today and still 2 days to run. Will break 3000 this week most likely or be right up against it when I get home tomorrow night or early Saturday.
windsmith Thanks this. -
That seems way low....tack on the surcharge and that's less than they're paying the lease or o/o's too.....must be doing a favor for someone.
And I'll be well into 3k for the week. I knew I was too #### close to home on Thursday morning. Never fails lol. Just got the load. 687 laurinburg to franklin, in all day d/h for tomorrow. Just puts me home later in the weekend but a solid 32-3300 for the week. In a 63mph truck and an elog. Cha-Ching hehehe. Can't speak for the other guys but my DM runs the #### out of me and I like it that way. -
I'm adding 15% to my original offer if they call me with another, higher offer. -
that's funny you mentioned the low miles. I ran into another EPES driver this afternoon at a pick up and that's ALL he kept talking about. I know I'll probably only pull around 2000 this week as I was broke down for a whole week and wanna get home to see my family, not to mention....GET CLOTHES!!!!! lol But I should be right back up there around my usual...2300-2500 by next week.

Little under 2900 miles this week. And off weekends . Ya hurting bad. Wind if don't want it turn it down. Think they broker the stuff that comes it a bundle , that they don't want.

The only ones that are sitting are the whiners and complainers. And we've got more than our share it seems lol.
And then there's Dinky who keeps breaking his truck so he can lounge around in the hotel hehehe.
Sorry man couldn't resist that one lol
Those of us that want to run are running
Sdaniel brought up a good point though .....hadn't thought of it just being #### runs they wouldn't give to us lol -
flyingmusician Thanks this.

Yeah we've got a bunch that I've heard literally say "I turned that one down because....."
I don't go to the northeast
It wasn't a d/h
Been there before takes too long to load/unload
Too few miles
Too many miles
You wouldn't believe the excuses these morons use to get out of doing anything other than the easy ####. And then complain because they don't get any miles. I'm not going to be that guy. I dont turn down anything unless the hours just dont work out for the pickup/delivery. It all adds up at the end of the week and the .07 NE bonus money is sweet.
