You know the rule. Never buy your truck from the same place you get your loads.

I disagree with the, "Rule". If you buy a truck outright or finance it through a bank that is a good thing. If you lease to own a truck you want the company with the freight involved. At Sammons we don't make money on leasing the trucks we make it on them running for us same as our operators. We have a motivation to make it work for you and to keep you happy. A leasing company needs to make money on you and has no concern if you are making money or not as long as they get your money. I am aware some L/P programs are revenue centers for companies but not all L/P plans are the same and not all companies are the same. Do your research, talk to the people in their program and the ones who left. If they can't do that for you then keep looking but there are still a few companies in this for the right reason and ethical.

The rule keeps you from getting in bad situations like wanting to go to a better company or maybe starting you own but you cant take the truck with you. And you have already paid $50000.00 on a $30000.00 truck. Happens to some poor crackerhead everyday.

At Sammons you can take the truck as long as you can pay it off or get outside financing.

And thats why you cant do it. If they could have paid for the truck cash or got it financed they would have. So you guys put a guy in a truck that has no business being there and odds are they are going to lose it. I would like to know the ratio of how many poor suckers enter into your lease verses how many ever end up with a title in there hand.

Ok, Here's my 2 cents on this issue.
Some people may not have the credit to get a loan or lease from a bank.
So they do a lease purchase through a company. Some are good some are bad.. Agree so far?
So let's say after 1 year you're thinking maybe I need to change companies for whatever reason.
In that time of 1 year or 2 years you have been making your payments to said company.
    Shows record of payments.
So you take all your profit and loss sheets to a bank or lending company.
You also go in with a bussiness plan on why you would like a loan to pay off the lease with who ever has the papers on said unit.
When they ask why you want to do this have a valid answer. Like lower interest rate, or I want to change compaines, due to I have this offer to go to company X and it will better my bussiness.

So please don't go bashing all lease deals..
I did a lease purchase with the trk. I have now. Did it through a dealership who is owned by a trucking company.
    Two different bussiness units.
My trk. got paid off. I had rough times and I've had good times. Oh by the way I'm not with that company anymore, but still do bussiness with the dealership.

So real deal, please do not bundle all lease purchase deals as the same.
