I'm wondering how i can get back into trucking? I do have prior experience between 2003 to 2007, what companies offer CDL Training? Can someone point me in the right direction?

If your getting back into driving, their are several companies that offer refresher training. The first to pop to mind is Maverick(flatbed). They will actually bring you as a new driver, but pay is good, great training, and you'll be back solo in 2-3months.. If not flatbed, then try PTL(DryVan).. Not the best as far as pay, but will get you refreshed and on the road solo in about 4-5wks.. I have been at both, and they both are fair.. Miles are about the same; 2200-2600/ wk.. Either way they will work with you. Maverick is more selective and home wkly, depending on their freight needs. They do thourough back ground and MVR.. But they will work with you.. PTL is less selective and you will be out 2-3wks at a time.. That is my recommendations. I did a complete posting of my time with PTL if you want a more endepth aspect.

    Good luck to ya'

Unfortunately for me, i have a felony in my background, 2 years ago. Before that, i got into the trucking industry in 2003 to 2007, pulling dry van and reefers. I know my chances of getting back into trucking are slim at best, without a job i cannot make money, without money i cannot hire a lawyer to try to expunge my criminal history. It is that vicious revolving door that i am getting sick of and i am needing some help to put a crow bar in there, pull me out and possibly help me. The cdl i had was an out of state and it expired in 2009.

the BIG problem is your RECENT felony. Try the usual suspects; CRST, NEW ENGLAND,SWIFT, COVENANT etc Just don't try to hide your background or you will be wasting your time. Also, if you qualify, do the schooling/refresher at some community college. You will be saving time, aggravation's and end up with a better choice. Good luck

family owned ltl company might take you. Imho, it's easier to get hired at a ltl company that isn't run by walstreet then it is to get hired by one of these big time truckload companies that don't offer much home time or pay worth a flip
