The only Swift flatbed terminals are Greer,SC, Gary,IN, and Phoenix,AZ. Swift flatbed for a beginner is actually pretty decent. They haul the schoolbus and motor home chassis' , steel coils, and stuff out of Laredo. You make a big triangle. The motor home and bus chassis are stacked 3 high on their step decks that have a special wheel well built into the top so the chassis will sit lower. Beats hauling sticks and bricks all the time.

keep in mind though that Swift as a whole is towards the bottom as far as bottom feeders go. If you flatbed, it's tolerable because the guys who work at their flatbed terminals teaching securement and giving you your skater supplies are actually pretty decent guys.

The Bad:

Swift will try to route you through their terminals to fuel. Like going from Louisville Kentucky to Gary Indiana to South Bend Indiana just for fuel. That also means getting stuck more with in those Swift showers in their terminals....cleaned once a day for a couple hundred drivers. Nasty! No, beyond nasty. It seems that the more terminals a company has, the crappier that company is.

 

Comcar and Cypress and Rinaudo also have flatbed terminals in Florida. They all hire new CDL grads.

 

Perhaps they are saving money on fuel with this routing method.

 

Crete won't hire Florida until you have 1yr otr all other states you need 4 months according to the recruiter I talked to a few months back
