extremely picky, extremely rude, don't return phone calls, website for application rarely works. I've got 17 yrs exp. hauling cans, tried applying to them about 4 yrs ago. Could never get an app. in via the website, sent them an email. Few days later got a call from one of the their Ops managers. He liked that I knew the ins and outs of cans and dealing with the Ports. Then when he found out I have a felony, his whole demeanor changed. Suddenly very rude, condescending, saying that he couldn't hire me because I wouldn't be allowed a TWIC card or HAZMAT (which I had both at the time) or allowed access to the Ports ( I had been to Tacoma 2 weeks prior and Houston a month before that, both without problem). When I told him I had both TWIC and HAZMAT, he called me a liar, at that point the call ended.
I know a driver with another container company who used to work for them, he got tired of never being home, or his hometime would always be cut short. He said they would run him to the brink of his hours, sometimes bugging him if he shutdown early (not driving a full 11) or if he sat for too long beyond his 10 or took too long of a lunch or other break.Pasquale Thanks this. -
I appreciate the feed back on them. I was hoping to get some info on them before calling them. Thanks again.

I drove for them. They aren't bad. You'll take home anywhere from 750-950 a week, depending on the load. There are two runs. The Crete run goes from Denver to Crete, Nebraska and then all the way over to Oakland Harbor. They always have a backhaul ready once you get your container off. The other run goes out to Kansas, usually Dodge City or Liberal....and then over to the Long Beach Harbor.
The Long Beach run can be hectic. You might have four picks with only five hours left on your day. If you run out of time you'll get kicked out on the street in a bad neighborhood. That's no fun.
Normally you'll leave Denver on Saturday morning and get back Wednesday night or Thursday morning. -
This company sucks!! You are micro managed. The electronic logs have only 1 tenth of a mile movement b4 the logs put you on driving. You only have your reset at home. Steve the safety guy is a lazy fat slob, you get stuck every week. You must leave as soon as your reset is up. Easier ways to make money. Quit with very little notice and they will slam your DEC report with very inaccurate information. Stay away. High Driver turnover for a lot of reasons.

Not sure about all of these guys but I've been with them almost three years and they have been great. If you have 10 years verifiable exp they start you st .40. My home time has always been taken as it was supposed to and yes we run a good many miles. If you want to know in advance what your pay is it's easy because it is dedicated do your pay varies very little week to week. My gross avg is $1400 per week I'm not even on the longest turn. If you want steady pay and great people to work for and with this is the place. Be on time and you'll never hear a negative word from anybody. You take care of them and I guarantee they'll take care of you.
