Anybody have any info on this company? Not a whole lot of stuff out there on them, and not much on TTR either.

I'm an independent carrier-contractor to Artur Express. They are a freight forwarder that uses all contractors and OO's to haul their freight. They provide the trailers, dispatch services, trailer and cargo insurance and a fuel card in exchange for 17% of the load revenue. You provide the power units and your liability insurance, authority, etc. It has been a great strategic partnership for my business and there are hundreds of other contractors doing well there also. They have a different deal for OO's and I am not familiar with how they lease on their OO contractors. Right now Artur has a terminal in Saint Louis and one in Ontario, CA. Most loads are pretty light between about 15k and 40k on the high end. The heaviest load I have pulled has been about 43k. Submit your signed bills through Transflow by Friday and get paid the following Thursday deposited into your bank account. Everything has been as advertised for me and I really like working with this company.

    Hello Truckers Report Community!

Does anyone have any updated information about their Independent Contractor (single trucks to small fleets with own authority) program, the piece of information I see on here was back in April of this year. I would like to hear from those who are partners with Artur Express.

    Thank you!

I have ended my association with Artur Express. Reasons: After several months I looked at my numbers, I was averaging about $1.40 per mile on dispatched miles. This does not include some lengthy dead-heads I had, if I averaged those in, I would probably throw up. Of late, I had some pay issues arise that I could not get them to resolve, no big amounts but when your running as lean as I was to begin with, those hurt a bit. I like the management and staff that I worked with on a regular basis but if the money isn't there then I have to move along. I am now running the boards for myself and doing a lot better. I had to buy my own trailer but that wasn't hard to do at all. I don't have any hard feelings towards Artur but I made a business decision to move on and do my own thing. Glad I did!

Artur Express has their own rates on every loads,
And it averages about $2,20 per mile on east coast, and much less on west coast and Texas.
They paying you 78% of gross under their authority with e-logs on board.
I tried everything possible to make money with e-logs,
long, short loads etc, but the main problem with those drop & hook loads is, they will not pay you for that load that you dropped, till it'll be delivered by a local drivers.
And it'll take 3-4 days or even a week, because of appointment time.
Lots of problems with accounting people, mistakes and missing payments.
Same loads, different prices every week on customers loads.
I have to pay for e-logs every single week,
Never paid me detention time, although promise me @ orientation, been sitting for 5,1/2 & 7,1/2 hours couple of times.
That's another trucking empire with 400 trucks, you'll not going to make a money that you deserve over there.

Someone it seems drivers never tell the full story about these companies. It's normally half truths and half lies from my experience. Than again they could be. If they are so bad then why is so little negative info about them online?
