I am a trucker's wife and I am reaching out for my husband because he is currently OTR and has no laptop for looking into this himself. He likes trucking and would like to relocate to a dedicated route close to home so that he can take a break but still work.
His problem is that he is a felon. It's not from drugs or a crime and it is just 4 yrs old and it is putting off the companies that he's applied to. They all say 'we understand', and 'sorry to tell you this', but in the end we get nowhere.
Does anyone know of a company around Central Virginia that would take him on a trial basis? He is a good hard worker and delivers on time or communicates any needs in advance as soon as he knows something so that there is no late times, if possible.
Thanks in advance!
Any good companies that do dedicated routes around central Virginia?

Check Cardinal Logistics website. Submit an online application if they have VA terminals. All their terminals are dedicated accounts.
-
Check with Abilene out of Richmond. I run local for them and I know people who I work with that have records.
UTurn1 Thanks this. -
Thanks so much! I will def look into them.
-
REALLY? Didn't think Abilene hired anybody with any kind of record.

I stand corrected. According to Abilenes recruiting brochure, they will look at it if your felony charge is 5 years old and more.
