Arg trucking is a division of wadhams enterprises based out of Phelps ny. Arg hauls different light and heavy oils along with butane and propane. They deliver in the area surrounding and in New York state to include Canada. I've been working there a couple weeks and am extremely happy with my decision. The people are amazing that I have met so far. Main terminals in Phelps, Rochester and Albany with satellite terminals in other locations. Training pay is great compared to other companies. If you are a recent graduate they offer tuition reimbursement and are offering a sign on bonus and recruitment bonus. If anyone is interested in more info please pm me. I would gladly offer more info. I do believe right now they are currently looking for a few sleeper guys. Not sure about local drivers but I can give you the contact info for the recruiters info. There is some info on there website at arg trucking.com. they also have wadhams which is their milk division and rist which has different kinds of freight. Wadhams.com has info and links for all of them

hey sparky88, thanks for the post. i am currently a student at NTTS in Buffalo and will be graduating next month. I am deciding between ARG and TMC at the moment. Have been looking for a new driver to talk to about how they like it, the things they dont like, and any other info they can add. Glad to hear its going well for you! If you dont mind, i would like to get the recruiters name and contact info. Thanks again!

I still love it. Training is good and everyone I've met had been awesome and helpful. Less work then tarping especially in bad weather. Stephanie is the recruiter I talk to. 315-789-8871 ext. 1155 or 1178. They have local and sleeper spots which sleeper would be home. Training is longer then normal but it's because of the gas aspect. Any other specific questions u can think of feel free to pm me. Not afraid to answer anything. Once I get home tomorrow I'll think of other things and I'll pm you

Hey thanks for the quick response. I'm sure Ill have other questions and thanks again for the honest answers. I will definitely give Stephanie a call this weeked and see what they have available and get the specifics of each(local/sleeper) And tarping in the bad weather is the one thing that tank definitely has an advantage on. But I guess you still have to get out in any weather as well to connect hoses or lines? Are there situations where you drop an entire tank somewhere or is it always multiple stops with a tank where you hook up the hoses and distribute the oil/gas or whatever you are hauling/....Also, are you local or OTR? And again, thanks for any answers.. I know you might get asked these a hundred times a month. Have a great 4th...

Wow that does sound good and definitely an advantage over flatbed.. , ok, so just to clarify, you are near the end of your training and i believe you said you are taking home about 1200 every two weeks? And if i decide on sleeper did you say you are out roughly 5 days and home 1-2 days? What do you anticipate the pay will jump to when you complete the training? Also,I will gladly use your name as my referral if/when I sign on. I dont know anyone else there anyway and youve been more than helpful with your answers. I really appreciate the feedback. Thanks

btw, i still cant send responses to you by PM since i dont have seven posts yet..this will be #4...

Sleeper you are out Monday through Friday. Home Saturday and Sunday. It's not like other companies where you only might get your 34 hour reset at home. The guy in our yard is usually home I believe late afternoon Friday and leaves again Monday morning. After training pay is broke down at 33cpm and 16.05 hourly for loading and unloading. And also if you are broke down you get your hourly pay also so you aren't sitting there without getting paid. It works out really well.

    Sparky,

I know this is mainly about ARG, but do you know much about the RIST division? They wanna meet up for an interview, but I haven't been able to find much information about them. Anyway, thanks, and I hope all is well!

10-4. Thanks, bud, I appreciate it! I'm sure they don't pay as well, but I don't have my hazmat endorsement yet, and I believe RIST is hiring, at the moment. I would like to get on with the milk or gas division. Just exploring options.

How are you liking it still?

    Thanks!
