I have some questions about Martin-Brower. I believe they deliver food to McDonald's restaurants? I also heard the drivers make very, very good money but work nights, weekends, and holidays and are on call when you are new. What is the real scoop on them? I heard they were union too? Thanks for any help.

I can vouch for the "nights/weekends/holidays" part and the $$$ is decent. Not sure if they're union.

They took over what used to me Metroplex Harriman and Long Island, yes they are Teamsters Local 445. Pay is great, but working your way up the seniority list sucks. A few buddies of mine and I went there when our car haul terminal shut down, lots of "fingerprinting", meaning you set up rollers and hand unload about 1500 pieces a day into the freezer and cooler at McDonalds. Most of the work is nights since you have to park in the drive thru to off load usually, a lot of NYC, and you better be good at backing to get into some of the stores under the EL train tressel in the Bronx and Brooklyn. I only stayed 6 weeks and was lucky enough to get another car haul gig, two friends are still there, it took 10 years but they are very happy now.

Well that just made my decision, I will NOT drive into NYC. Never have, and NEVER will. Thanks for the info.
