so I get to the yard yesterday around 0300 and of course the first thing I find is some idiot parked his truck right in front of mine. couldn't have blocked me in any better if he'd intentionally been looking for my truck to block it in. why the hell would you pull up and park right in front of a line of trucks when there were plenty of other places to park? probably the same guy that gums up the entrance to the truckstop when there's 30 other open spots to park......then I finally get it out (we won't say how lol) and go hook to my trailer and wait for the guard to unlock it. and wait. and wait. and wait. of course my load was all the way down on the end by the trailer shops, so finally walk all the way down the line to the shack and he's crashed big time laid back in the chair facing the door. I knock on the window, not hard enough to be annoying but harder than was necessary just because it was pouring rain and he's not supposed to be sleeping on the job anyway. this guy literally flew out of his chair and planted his face against the glass of the door on the shack so hard his lips and nose smashed into the glass like a pancake, then he hit so hard he bounced back into the chair and almost fell in the floor. for a good 3 seconds he had NO idea who he was, where he was, or why he was supposed to be there. the look on his face was priceless and hilarious. but it served him right. he shouldn't have been sleeping on the job.

that's funny! Oh boy...I gotta long one...from Ringgold to College Park, MD for a 0700 appointment! Looks like I'm gonna be spending the afternoon, evening at the Chester yard! Guess DM was mad that I had the whole weekend off, hehe....oh well...i can turn in the paperwork tomorrow and still get around 2200 for the week. But, I got my new glasses...so I can actually see alittle bit better...especially since I got transition lenses....they're pretty neat. But, my little guy had an awesome Easter...so I don't mind the lack of miles this check...it was worth his happiness!

what's the longest you guys have had to wait for a preplan...it seems like these past two weeks, the wait gets longer and longer! Right now, I'm at a new record 4 and a half hours and still counting! Never had this problem in the past year until now.

4 hrs was the longest I ever had to wait. Where are you? Generally a long wait for me is 2hrs the average is more like 30 minutes. Have noticed a lot fewer preplans the last month and just having to wait for the next load once I'm empty.

I'm at Ikea College Park, MD! Had to stay at Chester last night as the trailer I picked up was shot. They had to fix it yesterday afternoon! So drove 2 hours to here...got here at 0530 for a 0700 appointment....got unloaded at 0645 and been sitting here ever since! There was 3 of us this morning....the other 2 guys left out around 0800ish and here I sit watching traffic on 95! Haven't even heard anything back from DM! Sent loads of messages, not even a single reply...wtf is going on?!

funny..I didn't see you wave! Well...after 6 hours I FINALLY got out of that #### parking lot! OH BOY to shuttle empty trailers from Baltimore to Perryville! Get city pay and mileage pay! What the frack ever! I just wanna do something other than sit. So get to Bowman yard, GREAT SECTION OF TOWN! Everybody should think of buying a house around there! lmao and all I have is 1 trailer...that's it. It was made out to be like we had 200 to move. So I grab that and roll....oh it only took 2 hours to go 43 miles! lol So I BT back down to get my empty at that, beautiful/awesome section of Baltimore, I'm telling ya....property is cheap!(hint, hint!)lol and low and behold...since I was a good little driver I get a 1100 mile run from Perryville down to Sunrise, FL! wish it was the other way around, but can't complain at all....at least my satellite radio will be put to good use! haha
Ok...onto a serious note now! I witnessed a driver of ours dropping a ###### trailer at Perryville this afternoon! My load will not be ready until 0230 or so tonite, so at the truckstop I sit....but I wrote down the trailer AND tractor number! Let's just say, I did, HONESTLY, saw that flat tire on the trailer, this idiot parked it in THE MIDDLE! YEP, MIDDLE of the spot, on the right, right after you turn into the Dist. center...didn't fully back it into the spot....like he's hiding something. So I pull brakes and get out. Boy was this guy a winner, and how he got a blue jacket is beyond me....well, guess the gold teeth explains it? So, I asked him what he was doing, told me to mind my own buzness yo. "Well, that trailer tire is flat, why are you trying to hide it?" Here's the response I get..."Man, we don't get paid fo dat ####...I gotta run...I needs money!" OK....well....after I dropped my empty trailer, 10 minutes later...guess who bobtailed out to the waiting area, waiting on their load? If the trailer I get is that trailer...I have his truck number....guess who's gonna get an earfull tomorrow? HOPEFULLY HE IS FROM SOMEBODY AT GREENSBORO! I had 2 tires that were flatspotted yesterday...not badly, but needed to be changed out...so I had it done...BRAND NEW TIRES! Hopefully on of you guys get this empty I have...I spent my time, caring about other guys in this company! And listening to my Sox spank some Yankees yesterday! yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

I would have dimed him out right then and there. I've had my fill of those morons and make no bones about it and will tell anyone....you drop some junk that you didn't fix, I'm turning you in. Simple as that. There's a bunch of things not worth making trouble for anyone over and I won't, but let me see you drop a junk trailer and dispatch and safety will know quicker than you can get out from under it. With pictures. I've wasted too much time fixing other people's messes.

well....not blowing anyone's "horn" so to speak....but let's just say when I went back in this morning....that trailer was fixed, in the same spot, as parked, but backed all the way into the spot...I just had to be nosy! hehe So, I guess he had NO CHOICE but to get it fixed, since I did do, a little "talking" to the DM on Qualcomm. Guess they do get things done.(not talking bad about DM's or anything) Talked to one of our guys on the CB going down 95 and was telling him about it.....he couldn't believe it, until I said he was "gold-toothed".....then he became quiet and said, "Oh yeah....NOW I know what you're talking about. So you're actually a good driver that cares, HELL YEAH!" lol And then the rambling went on about so and so trailer that had this and that problem on it....and so on and so forth! lol
