EPES used to drop and hook at the Lowe's I worked at. Drivers seemed happy.
Do they hire graduates?

Sound's like an awsome place to work. Website say's infact you must have 1 year OTR. I can't get hired on by them though. I'm not in the hiring area.

I, and about 9 others start orientation with them monday [Epes], I'll try to keep everyone updated. They told me our group is the first they have hired in over 14 months. To me, that says a lot of the integrity of the company. I'm sure some of it had to do with the economy, but they apparently don't have much turnover-meaning their drivers are happy.

For all you guys asking if this is a good company or not you need to check out the SafeStat and see for yourself. I know it's just a bunch of numbers but after awhile those numbers can paint a good accurate picture of the company. Take this company. The numbers shows they run better than normal equipment but the drivers numbers are high. They've had a couple of trucks (same truck) put OSS more than once for the same thing. So that tells me either the drivers don't know how to find and fix their trucks or they don't care because the pay is so low. There's something there to validate why a driver gets OSS on 2/11/09, 5/9/09, 6/3/09, with the same truck for the same infractions. There's more but that should give you a good idea.
