oh i'lll get there it'll just be late tonight or even tomorrow morning if i have another pickup after this drop lol......but even if i don't and get hung out here, it would only be the second time in the last 9 months so as much as i do sometimes, i really can't complain.....just seems it never fails when i had something i really needed to do on the saturday, i end up getting in way late......whenit doesn't matter or i have no plans i'll be in early or on friday,.....just the way it goes

i don't like depending on weekend dispatch though if i'm not preplanned on friday before delivering on saturday......i think they must think since i'm already out so late on saturday i must be wanting to stay out.....at least from the loads i get from them......they were the ones that sent me to new hampshire last time i was in shelby on saturday lol....and more than once i've sent them a message saying no, i'm heading home lol i guess most of the guys they deal with either run weekends or stay out multiple weeks so are already out here....

not me.....i don't mind staying out if i have to and the customer needs require it......but i'm all about getting home for the weekend, even if just for a 34.....i'm doing well enough i don't HAVE to stay out unless it's just required

well, at least they're consistent lol i like consistentcy......at least i know what to expect.....finally get rolling this morning and halfway down 81 through virginia i hear......ding....."a new important message has arrived".....the weekend guys send me a preplan......drop in shelby and bounce over to concord for another walmart to smyrna, delaware.....and is supposed to deliver by midnight tonight.....i called that one right didn't i? lol.....if i'm not preplanned on friday when i have a saturday delivery then the weekend guys just assume i want to stay out and try to keep me rolling lol....stopped at the rest area and shot them a quick message to advise that i didn't have enough time left on my 70 to get it there without having to do a reset first so what did they want me to do.......quickly a message comes back to just don't woorry about it and keep it and deliver it once i get my 34 in.....which will be a full 2 days late by the time i get it there but they can't say they weren't advised way ahead of time.....

ran me hard this week......yeah you gotta love those down to the one minute on the clock days lol.....i have more of them than i'd like but i do run hard......even so, once it gets down below 30 minutes the stress level goes up a little bit lol......pulled the brakes on the yard tonight at 2250 with 4 minutes left on the babysitter and 3 hours left on the 70......and 2730 for the week.....if i can get the one i'm on now scanned before cutoff that will make 3239 for the week.....not too #### bad for an elog truck......but i got good runs and ran it hard all day every day.......i like it like that....

now it's time to settle on the couch with momma and the dogs......had dinner ready when i walked in the door and going to feel good to slow down for 34.....then hit it hard again.....

well we all have our opinions don't we?

you are just as entitled to yours as i am mine.

it is of no consequence to me one way or the other what you think of mine....the number of responses and pm's i have gotten from others who find my posts informative and enlightening versus your one kinda tip the scales too far in my direction and not nearly enough in yours.

yes i fly every weekend.....with the exception of the rare one where i am only home for a 34.....either a 182rg or a seneca and i doubt very seriously your experience comes close to right seat in a 727-100 for almost 5 years....i live only 10 miles from the airport and therefore makes it very easy to get there and go and have been flying there long enough I can get a plane on short notice with just a phone call.....

i may have a sportster now, but put 200k on a superglide before it was retired in favor of the smaller bike which is much easier to handle now that i have a little age on me.

maybe you, in your arrogance to so presume to know me missed my previous post where i disclosed i DO have 5 additional year's previous driving experience in the late 80's early 90's.....so your comments about my 'short driving time' carry no weight.

make you want to puke do i?

    puke away.

don't mistake confidence for arrogance.......where your comments and presumption to know ANYTHING about me are clearly arrogant presumption. There has been more than one occasion where i have made mistakes, and some big ones....and I man up and admit to them when they happen....but the experiences and positions I have put myself in at times earlier in life have given me an edge in life experience that i rarely make the same mistake twice and think things through before making ANY decision and make very few mistakes anymore.....having made most of the ones that count when i was younger and never having made them again.

Is Epes the best company out there? Obviosuly not for you. It works for many of us there though who are very happy there. And it sure beats the #### out of working for JB.....which I did back in the day when all they had were those ugly cabovers.....is it a home every night, regular route, know what you're going to do every day job? no. it works for me. I like the variety, the people, the family atmosphere, the good equipment, and the fact that I am home every weekend and most weekends for more than a 34.

my apologies to the followers of my posts and those who have supported and are appreciative of the information i give about my days and my time at Epes......and to the mods of this forum for this exchange.....however, his comments had to be addressed.
