You know, les is from Vermont lol or spent alot of his life there anyway. Might have been some of his people you ran into up there hehehe.

Going to run into a strong line of storms at final today and winds forecast to 60 for tomorrow over a very wide swath on my probable routing home from where I'll be Friday morning. Should be fun. Hope I'm heavy or I'll be parking and sitting it out.

Never a dull moment. Lol.

 

the funny thing is, the mechanic that got me looked ALOT like Les! Only with short hair. I forgot about that. lol Man if you would've seen this guy, thinking about it, you would've called him Les jr/sr.! CONGRATS to sdaniel for winning that truck! Where do you live so I can steal it for xmas? lol

 

ya know thinking about it....haven't talked to Les in awhile...might just call him and tell him I ran into his twin! hehehehehe

She's a auto. Going to really give her a work out next month . Sister in law is finally moving down from NJ. Be renting a enclosed car trailer to move her stuff. Be towing on a 1200 mile road trip . Putting brake controller in today.

so finally home at 1900 sunday......3051 for the week got run really hard this week.....

came out of morehead ky and ran over to florence....pushed it hard and got to the shipper with 0:03 on the clock....with weather forecast wanted to try and get there and at least get under a loaded trailer considering the high wind warnings and snow forecast for overnight and the next day. woke up with about 2 inches on the ground and blowing to around 30 gusting to 45.....even though temps were around 25 roads were still wet and not too bad until i got to columbus and it went downhill pretty quick......once on 270 it just got stupid....a wreck almost every mile on both sides....in the ditch on both sides and one pickup that drove right up on the gaurdrail and was hanging there.....almost every bridge had someone spun out off the end of it in the ditch.....walmart got into it with 2 cars had the 2 right lanes blocked and pretty much trashed his hood......71 wasn't quite as bad but there were pockets of slick spots although the snowfall really picked up more as i went further east.....the worst part was all the #### brine solution on my window and mirrors just couldn't keep them clean no matter what i did. radio reports were calling it getting much worse behind me i got out just ahead of the worst of it and stayed ahead of it the whole way. by the time i got to Pa other than some heavy flurries it was pretty much done......2nd check engine light came on along the way.....

did my stop and got up to carlilse and stopped at the J for the night and picked up in camp hill for richmond on saturday....got the pickup done and headed south and got around 495 but when i rolled off the beltway onto 95 traffic stopped. radio was already calling it bad as i came down 83 but geez.....it was just absolutely stupid.....4hrs to get from where i got on 95 to the fuel stop at the 104 and then like that all the way to the 295 split......not bad going through after the split to wilson in richmond.....got that drop done then had to head over to williamsburg for the load home for sunday......by the time i got that one picked up and back to chester last night was completely out of time.....burned 10:47 of drive time saturday for 351 miles......i'll be so glad when the holiday is over with. too many morons on the road that clearly don't travel much and have no business being out on the big road......really had to be on my toes and have my head on a swivel since friday never seen so many stupid 4 wheelers as i've seen the last 3 days.....

so home now finally till wednesday morning and then get the new truck wednesday morning.....really not looking forward to that but guess we'll see how it goes.....

and finally on the lighter side lol.....as bad a day(s) as you and i had this week Dinky i ran into a guy saturday morning at the J in carllsle who was REALLY having a bad day.....got up and went in to the bathroom first thing in the morning and sat down in the stall to do my business and there was already a guy in the one beside me.....after a few minutes he starts yelling and cussing and beating the paper holder and i thought he was going to rip it off the wall lol....seems he forgot to do a proper PTI on the stall and found himself in there done with what he had to do and no paper hahahahaha......i don't know aboubt the rest of you, but that's always the first thing i check before i sit down is to see if there's paper in the holder......now this guy was having a really really bad morning because he failed to do a proper pretrip lol.....told him i'd tell the girl at the counter and i did.....sure hope they didn't make him sit there too long before they brought him a roll lol.......one of those mistkes i bet he'll only make once hahaha.....
