My question is, and maybe this is someplace else on the forum, but I was unable to find it, so if it is there I apologize.
Is Pride part of CR England or just owned by one of the England family and one has nothing to do with the other.
I am getting ready to retire from the Military and have been talking to a few "recruiters" or "HRO" personnel, with Pride and a few other companies in the area (No Knight, and no C.R.). I am asking the recruiter, the normal questions about the company, average miles, what type of equipment...but I was wondering is this just a cover to get people to apply because of the reputation that C.R. has?
I have talked to James H. Clark, and even talked to a representative from Crete, I probably won't go back to Crete, but they sound like they have made allot of changes since I worked for them a few years back.
I guess we will see.

I believe one of the England sons owns Pride, which is not connected to C.R.E.
Snowshoes Thanks this. -
IMHO, if there is an England associated with it in ANY way, I would RUN the other direction. But that is just me.
And FWIW, CR England was at one time a good outfit to work for. My understanding is that it went to hell when the original owner's kids took over.Snowshoes Thanks this. -
I also have not ruled out the idea of going back to Andrus, they treated me pretty good. And now that I won't HAVE to be home for Drill weekend, I can spend some time out on the road where a driver belongs. So far the real selling points for me is the rider policy of Clark, Crete and even Pride, so far Pride has the less strict policy.

I would go to work for Pride before working for that communist outfit Andrus

Sorry you had such a bad experience with Andrus, when did you work for them? I worked for them in 2011 and they treated me very well, my pay was always on time, I got home when I needed and wanted even times it was not really necessary, I never had to wait more than a half hour or so for a pre plan, The times I did stop in Saint George to fuel, Jimmy made it a point to come out and ask how everything was and if there was anything he could do personally to make things better, if anyone made a suggestion, he always followed up, If my truck needed service, it was done in a timely manner to get me back rolling. Once again sorry you had such a bad experience with them. The only thing that will keep me from going back there is the rider policy, riders do have to be 16, and my son is 10.
Granted, the one thing I would have like to see different that did not change while I was there, direct deposit, they only pay direct deposit to Wells Fargo, check to home, or put it on your card, and I THINK they charged to put it on your card, and Jimmy said he would work on that, I left a couple of weeks after I made that suggestion.

Anyway this thread is about Pride so I will get off my rant. Good luck to if you go with PrideSnowshoes Thanks this. -
Pride is real to CR England by name only. They seem to have all of happy drivers and have good equipment.
Snowshoes Thanks this. -
scythe, may I ask who do you drive/work for? I see you are from SLC and I was wondering if you are happy with your job?
Thanks in advance -
If memory serves, the main guy at Pride is Jeff England. Yes, he's one of the sons of C R, however, it's not the same company. Among other things, the old story that the guy in charge has been known to call trucks back that left the yard dirty, or not clean enough anyway, has just been confirmed to me by a guy who just hired on today with that company. You're in a good spot for them, and I've never herd of an unhappy Pride driver, you should be fine.
Snowshoes Thanks this.
