Greetings fellow Flat Bed truckers. Has anyone heard of a flat bed trucking company out of Tracy California called First Class Service Trucking Company. They haul only flatbed. I am trying to find pros and cons about this business. Any advice to protect myself from being taken advantage of? Looked on consumer reports and complaint boards and could not find anything bad our good. The Better Business Bureau gave them an A+ rating with no complaints. I am contemplating working for this company. I have no Flat Bed experience and I wanted to see if you Veteranos have any advice for me. I was offered 25% percent. The Driver Manager said his drivers make between 50k to 55k gross a year and the company covers Navada, Arizona, and California. He did indicate I would probably make less then that my first 6 months because there would be a learning curve and I would be a little slower. They would give me some of the lower paying loads at first until I proved myself and became more proficient. He said I should expect between $1000.00 to $1100.00 a week.
The truck manager seemed nice and appeared to be upfront about the learning curve and making a little less at first?? The upfront and honesty seemed refreshing compared to May Trucking which is a completely different thread.. . The Driver Manager's comments seemed to be genuine but I am always skeptical of being taken advantage of. I know there are Flat Bed companies out there that pay more then that. What I liked about the company is I will get almost every weekend off and it is near my home in Pleasanton, Ca.
Namasta and thank your for anything that you can give me so I am a little bit more wiser.
To all our Veterans out there that have given service to out country I wanted to thank you. From a Retired Marine......
