I was wondering if anyone on here has ever driven for Madison Intermodal (SEI, Wall Street Systems) out of Harrisburg, Pa? I'm currently working for an OTR outfit and not content with it. I used to deliver cabinets for Armstrong Cabinets until they got bought out. Was in a day cab, worked 40-60 hrs per/wk paid hrly, home every night, weekends off tailgating cabinets and occasionally delivering residential.

The add for Madison says M-F was told you can make 1000-1200 a week gross. I know they are a 1099 which kinda worries me. 1000-1200/week gross is what I'm making now and I don't feel it's worth being out 2-5 days for that. with half weekends off. Been driving for 5 years, started with Sygma delivering food, worked for Knight (joke!) ran bulk tanker for J.P. Donmoyer then delivered cabinets for 2 years. If anyone has any good leads on decent company's to work for in the Harrisburg or Upper Dauphin area let me know. I'd really like to stay away from the big carriers, just tired of all the BS (63 mph trucks, e logs, etc etc)

1,000 to 1,200 gross is very low being honest if your working 60 hours or more. I hope those figures are lower then what you usually make there. Thank you for posting that since I work doing intermodal but for JB Hunt in Harrisburg PA. I make 1250 to 1350 a week gross and I work daylight hours (guys who run nights tend to make out better). Was curious to know how much madison drivers made. Was never really impressed with them and if I did change jobs to another intermodal company it wouldn't be them.

$50 to $150 more a week isn't really worth me dealing with a mega carrier and all the BS that goes with it. 70 mph truck, flexible work schedule, paper logs (for now) could possibly write off my car as business expense. Since you've never driven for Madison your post doesn't really help at all. Actually thinking about going to haul mail, it would be hrly work. Or get back into bulk tank for a local guy near me. I hired on where I'm at now because I was told it was dedicated and weekends off which, of course, was a lie but I had two former co workers who said good things about said company.
